The title asks the question I'm posing here... I have a friend who would like to see the changeover and attend both parties. How long of a trip would someone need to do this?

Typically 10-12 days in order to do both parties. And will need to book Halloween night quickly when they release tickets. Bear in mind, that won’t necessarily get all of the Christmas trees and gingerbread features at the resorts, but will get both parties. I would fly in on the 30th to allow for mishaps and delays. And plan on the first Christmas Party being sometime around the 8th-10th.

Agreed with Mindy. At least a week between last Halloween party and first Christmas party.

We went to both a few years ago and the last MNSSHP was November 01 and the first MVMCP was November 09. We arrived on October 30th and departed on November 11th. It was great to see the transition from Fall/Halloween to Christmas in the parks.

Agreed with Mindy. At least a week between last Halloween party and first Christmas party. And likely, Jersey week will be sandwiched in there as well…

Thanks everyone for the responses! I’ve sent my friend a link this page. I’m not sure why she even wants to go, after all, it’s just Disney……

Usually MK has a tree up on Nov 1. This year due to MNSSHP on 11/1 and the RunDisney events it was late. Nov 2 the park had decorations but no tree. The tree was up 11/4 when we went. But, the other parks weren't decorated by 11/4 - we left 11/5. So, if Disney continues to extend MNSSHP and have the RunDisney events around the same time it will be anyone's guess.
