If it actually happens, it would be awesome! Adventure and Indiana Jones could fit the Animal Kingdom theme well. The Indiana Jones ride at DL is still quite popular (as is the one in Tokyo), so I think it will be well received. Honestly, anything at AK is welcomed. Since we don’t really go to the AK shows anymore (unless we are hosting newbies), it’s basically FOP, Navi River Ride, the safari, EE, and Dinosaur. I’m not a big fan of getting wet on rides, so I only occasionally go on Kali River. We are usually done by noon.

Similar to ours, although we don't do EE, and we usually do the animal walks in Africa and Asia. We also wander around the center a bit. But it's still a shirt day park.
Cheers.

We sometimes do the animal walks. We also wear shirts at all times at Animal Kingdom . Though, if we were to go shirtless, AK would be the best park for that.

I’m in the minority. I love Dinosaur, love the cheesy dinoland area. And I can easily fill a whole day at AK. It’s my second favorite park! And, it’s also a shirt day for us as well.

We do like AK (2nd favorite behind Epcot) and Dinosaur is my 20-year-old son’s favorite ride. But it’s still a 1/2-day park for us.

If more people went shirtless, preferably of the female variety, I’d definitely visit more often….

Considering that Dinosaurs and Indy are essentially the same ride with different props isn't this another case of putting new lip stick on an old pig? I think I would prefer the Indy overlay but it should be pretty much the same ride experience.

First time I rode Countdown to Extinction I loved it. Still do. I absolutely hate the dinoland part. Such a waste of space. So I won't be sorry to see it go I've ridden Indiana Jones and Dinosaur within weeks of each other and while I liked Dinosaur a hint more, it's not a downgrade to me. I like AK, but it's lacking in the dinoland area badly. AK isn't our least favorite but it definitely trails behind Epcot and MK to us. It is really an early afternoon end park for us. Worlds above Hollywood studios though Considering that Dinosaurs and Indy are essentially the same ride with different props isn't this another case of putting new lip stick on an old pig? I think I would prefer the Indy overlay but it should be pretty much the same ride experience. Lipstick on a pig implies that the ride is already not great and they're trying to make it better. To me it's not a bad ride at all and this is not a lipstick on a pig thing but more of just a refresh of sorts. If the ride were bad I would agree with you but both rides are fantastic

I don't know I kind of like pigs, especially pulled pork..... The ride has always been a bit Jerky for my taste and they both seem to have issues keeping them running (just casual observations I don't have any uptime stats) so I get your point but I am still on the fence on if I would call it a pig or not.

I think changing themes isn't an attempt to try to improve the ride. Just make it fit. Both are equally jerky but I do love both. It's the rest of the area that sucks.

But on your point - there are two parks I've been shirtless in and those are MK and Epcot. This was during races and I often run shirtless. As the races went through the parks, there I was.
For the Wine and Dine half the time we did it, it was a night race and ended at Epcot at around midnight where we stayed until 2 or 3. Again, no shirt or most of that time in the park.
Never done AK that way, but I could see it working
Cheers.

yawn......
Not a new ride, but a new overlay of an existing ride that already exists.
WDW is not really giving us anything "new" on the horizon. Meanwhile, Universal is keeping Disney's proverbial ASS in park development. And lucky "us" is we get to pat Comast Billions of dollars in the next few months.

Dinosaur is one our "must do" rides in AK. It unique and a really great ride when everything is working as its suppose to work. There is not a need to replace Dinosaur, just update/upgrade. But this is all about the IP, which Disney execs are hell bent on ruining.

To be fair they did absolutely IP this ride after the movie Dinosaur. Not directly as Indiana Jones will be but they changed the name to fit the new movie of the time. I don't mind this one as much because of the fun I've had on the Indiana Jones version. I'd actually be more upset if they removed the ride entirely. For us this is our "must ride" (as long as it is running) when we go too.
