Welcome back. I also have a senior that just decided to attend the Colorado School of Mines next year. Now we just have to figure out how to pay for it!  This was on the list of schools our niece was looking at due to their strong reputation in engineering. In the end, she chose the Honors program at FSU, but this was a strong contender and great school.

Don't even get me started on the how to pay for it! We always hoped/assumed our kids would end up at either UWashington or WSU - this private school thing is expensive! Last year DS applied early decision at a private school. Thankfully he didn't get in and is now a freshman at UC Santa Barbara. He seems to be thriving and my wallet is thankful. For the other two kids I'm going to strongly discourage them from applying anywhere but UC schools. IMHO, most private schools are absurdly overpriced. |

It is great to see your name pop up again. So sorry to hear about work. The job change is a challenge, but more than that may be the gut punch when pouring some much time and energy into a project ends differently than expected. No doubt this is simply a step on the way to bigger and better things!
Hamilton looks like a lovely school with a lot of flexibility for students to design their course of study. That's really cool. Fingers crossed for her!

Welcome back Todd! Glad to see you and hear the family is doing well. We are also in early decision time for college applications with second son. Good luck to your daughter! I look forward to seeing where your path next leads! Such an opportunity for new adventures for sure.

So very glad to see you back here, and glad you and kids had a nice Disney trip! and enjoy some F/W offerings, and SSR. We did 1 night at SSR in Oct, and also really enjoyed the updated rooms, Hadn't stayed there since 2011.
best of luck with all of the college decisions, and job search. Al of the college stuff sure can be a lot. DD is in her second year, stayed in state, and DS will be starting his search very soon.

Welcome back, Todd! Best of luck with the job search, never fun but hopefully a better situation is right around the corner. @brian you went thru it yourself a few years ago and it ended well for instance! Hopefully we get back in the Spring in the WDW and can catch up in person! Absolutely! |
