I've been getting e-mails lately from World of DVC. They offer rentals, resales, lending, and tickets. Their ticket prices are even better than UT but I'm leery as I haven't heard of them before. Anybody here know of them or have done business with them? TIA

TIA They are an umbrella group formed from a merger between DVCRentalStore and one of the DVC Resales brokers (I think they were DVC Resale Market) plus Unlocked-Magic who created some tools that you can get for free elsewhere. So yes, they are legit. |

Yes Wold of DVC is DVC Resale Market's merge with the DVC Rental Store. So if you either bought resale or rented from one of them you're on their lists.

For real.....
Over the past few years, there has been a bunch of movement in the DVC resale world. I look at as a maturing of the business with new players and big plans. They all want to be that all-in-one DVC/travel store.....sales, rentals, non-dvc vacations, etc.

Thank you for the information, I was in the dark. Their tickets are each $55 lower than UT so I may give them a try.

A friend going with us just ordered tickets from them yesterday from the sale email you are referring to. She said it was going to take 2 business days to receive the e tickets. That seems weird, but we'll see today or tomorrow if anything goes wrong.

That seems weird, but we'll see today or tomorrow if anything goes wrong. Yeah, that is odd. These are usually pretty much immediate. The good things is that, if this does end up being a scam, it's easy to get the money back from the CC. Given some comments above, they certainly seem legit despite this oddity.

I am assuming that they are worldofdvc.com? If so, I don't see a ticketing link on their site.

I finally unsubscribed. The name of the email just comes from World of DVC. I've never rented from them but did resale. All connected. |
