I have a renter interested in booking a studio at the Riviera for a week in mid January 2025. I do not own there and would have to book at the 7 month window. Is that doable or is this another situation such as VGF where the studios are gone well before the window opens? Should I walk a reservation? Or should I find him a Riviera owner to rent from?

I assume you mean you are looking for January 2025 as January 2024 is almost now. I booked February 2024 at 7 months. There were only random days for studios. So it will probably depend on the planned length of stay and some luck. I booked a 2-bedroom, so those were obviously available. January might yield different results.

When I booked a Riviera studio for an October trip I was able to book about five months out. But I could only get a preferred studio, not standard view, so you may want to keep that in mind.

The preferred view are far more likely to be available than the standard view, and tower rooms will be gone. We have been able to put together a couple of stays there but have had to piece them together as we did standard room.

You won't find 7 month standard or tower studios at Riviera.

I had 5 days booked at Riviera at 11 months with the points that I had available. I had another 5 days booked at our other home at BLT. This is for late July. This week, about two weeks outside of the beginning of the 7 month window, I was able to modify the BLT reservation and get 10 days in a standard studio at Riviera. I honestly was shocked.
