We've been to Jelly Rolls a few times. It's fun but really loud. We stopped in the Atlantic Dance Hall once and it was really dead. I don't understand how it stays open.

Way back when, DH and I did our wedding after party at a dueling piano bar. In the years since, we've tried to visit other dueling piano bars when we travel just because of the positive memories. Jelly Rolls has been fun for a few evenings here and there, but mostly we go early in the evenings before it gets busy. At WDW, I'd rather go see one of the nighttime spectaculars in the parks than hang late at the piano bar.

Atlantic Dance Hall seems to be used fairly regularly as an event center and, especially, a reception center for Disney Weddings. That's probably the biggest reason they haven't "re-imagined" the property.
Pre-pandemic (2018?), DW and my brother and I spent a weekday night there, just hanging out. It was basically us...and a bachelorette party that showed up a night earlier than planned because of an impending storm in their neck of the woods. The upstairs wasn't open, and they played music videos on a drop-down movie screen over the stage for entertainment. The thing that I remember most is that mid-week nights were 'industry nights' and beer was just $3 a cup!
As for the initial subject of the post...all I really know is that incidents like this are why I personally refuse to stay on the 2nd floor of BWV, at least with a Boardwalk view. The noise of departing revelers echoes so badly under the high archways there!

I've poked my head into both Jelly Rolls and Atlantic Dance Hall over the years. Both were completely dead the couple of times I did that and I assumed they would both be closed. It sounds like Jelly Rolls does get business and not so much for Atlantic Dance Hall. My problem is that we go to bed early, so I was likely there way too early for there to be any action.
