I will be driving to WDW in my EV for the first time in February. Knowing that there are many SuperChargers along I95, I am wondering if any of you EV owners have any recommendations of stops that you really liked. I know sometimes you don't have a choice as to where you stop, but sometimes you do. I will also be stopping at Hilton Head for 2 nights on the way down--want to hit the Outlet Malls there, plus I just love DVC Hilton Head and can indulge in some great seafood.
It has been a long time, several years, since I have driven to WDW, so any suggestions you have on stops, places to eat, etc. will be appreciated. I will be taking my time getting down there as I have a long stay booked at WDW and am not in a hurry to get there.

I don't have an EV and have only driven once to WDW from Maryland, so I am short of actual advice here.
I recommend stopping at Buc-ee's on the way down to Orlando. I read that they are installing EV chargers, but they may not been done yet. However, they have the absolute cleanest and best bathrooms of any travel plaza/gas station in the world. Plus they have awesome snack and togo food for a quick bite. Their stores are huge and will give you a nice break to stretch your legs.
Drive safe and I hope you have a great trip!

Sorry, of no help as an EV owner. We don't drive and don't use Superchargers as that's really just for Teslas. I do agree that stopping at Buc-ees is a must. That was the highlight of the trip to and from for the kids in band last year.

That was the highlight of the trip to and from for the kids in band last year. We stopped at every Buc-ee's on the way down and back home on our trip. People know we loved it so much, that if they down there and stop at one, they will pick us up some jerky or Buc-ee treats. My sister even bought me a 6' Stata Buc-ee inflatable for my Christmas decorations this year.

Keep in mind if using it's wise to get set up with ChargePoint app prior as well as making sure you have the right adapter. Locally they are J1772 at resorts and fast charging CHAdeMO at DS. Also there are Tesla superchargers nearby.

I can't help you with the EV either. But, I second the recommendation to stop at Buc-ees. We almost always drive from Maryland and we love to stop at Buc-ees. There are 3 Buc-ees on I95. Florence, SC. Exit 170 Just south of Jacksonville, FL Daytona, FL Just before I4

Safe travels! I am another vote for Buc-ee's. The bathrooms are the reason I time stops from SC to Orlando for Buckee's as much as possible these days. Plus, the new Florence, SC Buckee's is just 30 minutes from where we are building the campground! If you opt to stop there, I'd be happy to hop over to say hello.

My wife loves Buc-ee’s and now that we’re in a hybrid we stop there on most road trips. When we had our Tesla and would make the run to NC we found most of the super chargers were about the same so we really didn’t have a must stop at charger location. At the time there were very few chargers and no Tesla chargers on HH and we had to use a charge point that was by a Starbucks to get back to a super charger. I do believe they have built one out there now so that should help. The super charger by Celebration is very nice.

Thanks everyone. I have never been to a Buc-ee's as there are none near Raleigh yet, and I have not driven to WDW since any of them have opened along I-95. I will definitely make sure I stop at at least one on this trip.
Thanks for the link, Tom.

I have not done the drive, however I do own an EV. I would recommend downloading and setup the ChargePoint and PlugShare app if you don’t use a Tesla. The Tesla app in car will automatically route you to superchargers on your route as needed. If a Tesla there is also an app called ABRP you can use it to preplan your drive.
Good luck on your drive! Most important enjoy the journey!
