You could be right! Those like me who only go when I have a resort reservation, we're going to just plan out our days anyway to not lose our money. However a local person they just go not worth it if I have to make a reservation. I'm still very annoyed that if I am on site I have to make a reservation in the first place. I've kind of changed how I'm doing them, and do MK and Epcot for the virtual queues only. AK is pretty easy to get into always anyway, and DHS is one I can just skip a lot and not care anyway. But with Park hopping back completely, I won't care as much which day I start with. Park hopping at any time is a game changer. I happen to be in the group that doesn't need reservations, but I totally get the annoyance with it for annual pass holders. Yes, the anytime hopping is huge. Only reason why I don't care which I pick first for the day. And if I want AK I can almost always swap.

The town of Celebration is also having a popular race on schedule this weekend . It is considered an easy flat surface race and can qualify for the Boston Marathon . A large turnout is expected locally and could contribute to crowds ., along with everything else.

The first weekend in February sees Orlando host the US Olympic Team Trials for the marathon, and also the NFL Pro Bowl. Mega Con is also being held from the 1st to 4th. Again these events could impact crowds to some extent if families make a weekend of it.

I helped my DIL plan their Fri-Sun stay this weekend in mid Dec which is very late to be doing resort rooms and the Dolphin was nearly completely booked but I could get a regular room for $2800 I don't know why, but Swan-Reserve had a decent rate and was only a bit more than Coronado Springs. Part of our miles were walking the route to Epcot from the Swan-Reserve since neither DS or DIL had ever done that before. Our DIL never noticed the Swan or Dolphin while in Epcot. I did short videos of the route. Unfortunately, we had to do it over because somehow I hit slow motion option and none of my verbal directions came through. DIL is like DH with his directions so she was a bit concerned. At one point DH said that I said go right instead of left...I don't think I did, but I re did it. We were coming through and going left by the Atlantic Dance hall. He said, "you said go to the right down that path that goes nowhere." I told him not to venture out alone yet as that path was the one that went to Studios and he might get lost. He's getting better, but he has a long way to go.

Glad all worked out in the end. I want to watch the instructional videos, ha… The kids thought they were funny. I wasn’t trying to be. I would imagine my mannerisms were very apparent.

"you said go to the right down that path that goes nowhere." This makes me remember that the other day, I gave directions for my wife and used three references to things that are no longer there. I don't remember exactly, but I imagine it was something like, "You go down where the old Fleet Farm used to be, remember where that Subway was? Past where the gas station used to be." Ah, getting old. And in case you are thinking this sounds like a stand-up comedy bit, I have literally referenced "where the building burned down that one time."

And I just read a reference that I do not remember! Do you?
Once upon a time the Tune In Lounge (at HollyWood Studios Prime Time ) … was called Dads Medicine Cabinet

I was once pulled over by a cop who told me I was speeding "back where the flag used to be". I had to explain to him that I was not from that town and didn't know where the flag used to be!

My grandpa and grandma lived in the Higgins Lake, MI area and his directions to anyone who was coming were:
"Follow the black top."
It's all black top in that area. 99% Lost Rate.
They arrive today so we'll see how the videos work. I wish I had done one from the "surface parking" to their dinner reservation at Springs. DIL uses google well so they could use that for a walking route. The center of Springs is confusing. Fingers crossed on the park reservations too. They are set, but their friends are arriving today sometime...they are late leaving home for the drive down.

I wanted to test the "good to go" days for Monday, but it isn't one I was going to see if it gets canceled. I am supposed to meet a friend down in those parts and might go to the park. Now, I will not because they annoy me so I'll just go home when I'm done visiting my friend. I suppose I could just do Sunday even though I don't intend on going. They did add in 2 Sundays. I don't think there were any weekends when they first came out. At the moment, I don't care enough to research that thought either.

The website has changed since the last time I tried booking a park reservation making it more obvious for APs with a resort stay versus no resort stay.
The Good To Go Days make it very obvious that you do not need a reservation too when booking one of those days and cannot make one so I guess those should be a lock forevermore on that date.
