Passed on Monday 100 June UY 87/2024 100/2025 $175/point reduced closing fees and prorated 2024 dues Very annoyed at DVC Shop Resales though. I had done all of my communications via my email. Who did they email on Monday and not me? Spouse. Irks me. Yes his name is on my contracts but these are mine really. Why would you not include the person who has been contacting you the entire time? That email gets checked only 2-3x a week. I found out because I got closing documents.... I will likely need more points but I can hold off on those and decide where and how, but this brings my PVB numbers to a decent amount per year and more than any other resort I own too. Congratulations!!!!

Just glad for timing of it all. We're home so I can send in the wire transfer first thing tomorrow (closing docs came just before 5pm). Wish I knew on Monday though, would have celebrated a bit more that day. We were at Spice Road for lunch on a whim and that would have been a great place to toast to good news.

Not sure if you read their blog on monthly resale prices. The numbers don't lie and you can get a good feel of the market and pricing.

Not sure if you read their blog on monthly resale prices. The numbers don't lie and you can get a good feel of the market and pricing.
I have been reading these, but just hadn't caught up yet since returning. I'm not shocked by $184. Sure it would have been nice to get $160 or less but it wasn't for lack of trying. I was very specific in what I was looking for and feel good with the deal I got. Sure it looks like $175 a point, but reality is $170 which is decent. I didn't want a stripped contract either since I plan to stay in 2025. I might need a few more points later, but I didn't want to go too crazy without knowing actual point charts. Even contracts in early part of 2024 were usually stripped. I only went for ones that had 2024 available (or most) Docs have been signed by us and wire transfer received. Now it's how fast does this guy want his money and such. Then we see point charts and decide when and how long we travel for. I'm hoping to have points by the time I can book for next year.

When we joined DVC DH made it clear that while his income purchased the contracts I was the 'travel planner' so all communications should be directed to me. Funny things is I always use his cell number because my phone is always dead (I play too many games). LOL. For years I always got the 'special' colors checking into parks but DVC or Disney has finally rectified that and we both get the special colors.

It only bit me in the butt once as the #2 purchaser actually does not have all the powers #1 does. I'm still technically numbered 2nd still but I'm now not the "additional purchaser". It's always been my money that pays for fun stuff like this. I'm also the planner too. Husband is younger than me and alphabetically behind me, and yet he gets #1, booo I'm glad it is all good. I was going to email next week if I hadn't heard. I just didn't want to jinx myself after last ROFR.

I am still xxxxxxx.2 and spouse is xxxxxxx.1 but when you look at the site I never come up as additional purchaser now. My number hasn't changed as that's like my ID but my status did. I only knew I was ever so slightly lesser in 2018 or so when we were dividing out our MDE account so we could all be separate. I tried to set up my spouse's account and was told no and because I am additional purchaser I cannot. But if I were the technical primary I could set up his account. So we faxed in our request and shortly after I was swapped. Then I called and set up his account. Not that he can't do it, just that I had flexibility to do it when he didn't.

Interesting while everything is creeping downward, Poly and grand floridian is going upward.
