Non-Owners at Ft Wilderness Cabins are not able to book at the resort starting today.
As they say say, try before you buy.....if you were on the fence of ownership, here is your opportunity to book a stay in a cabin.
Reservations start July 1st!

Good luck Looks like Thanksgiving is being Walked … Early inventory is limited, since just a tiny fraction of Cabins have been declared to inventory.
I still feel that the resort sales will be slow. The cabins will book and cash reservations will be made....I think that the buy-in price and fees are a deal breaker.

Agreed! Even those on some groups I am in who were once super excited bowed out of buying due to cost and fees. Personally I am done trying new resorts. I'm not sure this will ever work for us.

Surprised how much availability there is for there so far...
I know they don't work for everyone, but figured the newness factor would make people book there faster.

I will enjoy using current points for FW stays! I just checked for Jan. Poly studios are 33/34 points for two nights in Jan while cabins are 32 total for the same two nights. Hopefully availability remains decent so I can pick up a few January 2025 nights at the Fort in the new cabins.

We literally have zero interest in booking the resort. As of now, there are only two reasons I will be booking the cabins. 1. Last minute trip and its the only thing left 2. Friends were staying there and we all booked together.
Now, when the Poly Tower opens, I am hoping to change my early December reservation to the new Tower.

Zero interest in the FW cabins. I do love watching the Halloween and Christmas decorations. Would that be enough for us to book at the new cabins? No. Zero interest. Are the boats running from FW to VWL?

Are the boats running from FW to VWL? Only after 3pm. The bus runs all regular day hours though. Not entirely sure when it starts, but definitely morning hours c

I'd like to try the Cabins but I am not sure when. We were thinking the pre and post cruise day but DH doesn't understand where we'd meet up for the cruise so maybe our December trip.

I booked a 3-night weekend over SB's birthday in late July. I'm curious to see them, and although the layout is a bit weird we will still have a separate bedroom and living room so we don't have to suffer through each other's tv choices. I would never consider staying here if my plans included the parks, but in July I don't want to be anywhere near the inside of a theme park! The pool is basic/ordinary but I can deal with that - it's only 3 nights, so really just 2 full days. I'll try to book Hoop De Doo again (since we're right there) and probably a dinner at Steakhouse 71. Other than that, it's just relaxing at the cabin/campground.

I am very tempted to give this a try. However, from what I understand where you check in and then to the location of the cabins you need to take a bus. Then you have to hop on those buses to go back to the main area to then take a bus to the park. Sounds a bit inconvenient, thought?

Many rent golf carts to help with some of the internal bus issues.
