I remember those spreadsheets. Which resort did it affect the most do you recall? I think I did it for BWV (maybe BCV also) and didn't see an impact that was substantial. There will be some breakage just given the nature of the beast and the concept of integers, but there was no impact. Then again, I may have looked after things got resettled. Or maybe these were not the impacted properties.
Cheers. Numbers aren't something I do well, unless excel does it for me, so I never looked closely myself. They walked back on the changes which surprised me, but I'm not sure if it was due to complaints and threats of lawsuits or something else. Big regret not buying PVB when it was first available. After so much anticipation of owning at the iconic resort, I just couldn't get over what I saw as wasted space…could have easily accommodated a stackable W/D or a bigger kitchen space. We did eventually stay there and it is now one of our favorite studios. How lucky the current owners are… I feel pretty lucky. Only bad for me is I may need to keep adding more and have to be told to stop staying lol

This is torture waiting for the Poly to be completed ! Except I am hoping they give DVC members transport over to see the Resort after the Annual Condo Meeting like they did with the Welcome Home to Riviera before it opened . When we walked out of the Contemporary when meeting concluded WDW Busses were waiting at the curb to take us over and bring us back ! That was a nice surprise .
Im sure they are delaying Poly Open announcement just to personally invite me to walk in first!
But I definitely plan to sign up to attend this years DVC Annual Condo Meet .In December 5 Thursday . I need to find a calendar ! But the announcement to sign up is usually in October.

I can’t wait and happy it’s not a new DVC. My only regret is should I have bought more Poly points when they initially opened and I bought in…. Hmm. I’ve stayed in the bungalows twice, no regrets but obviously that’s not something I can do frequently or for a longer stay. We’ve never been studio people even now when just the two of us are traveling, I book a one bed. We’ve considered when looking at availability for two to try the poly studios. Happy to soon have the option to book a 1 bed and when ‘children’ are with us to book a 2 bedroom.

DH is "meh" on Poly but we both loved staying at the VGF.

The lack of rooftop dining is perplexing. A golden opportunity missed to my mind. Yep, been saying that from Day 1. Damn shame. I’ll just have to make up for it in bikini-clad pool bar views…

There are certain elements that accelerate receiving the “creepy single guy” moniker as opposed to the older guy sitting there with his wife…. Sunglasses help, but also have to be careful not to stare in any direction for too long.

Ha, whatever helps to decrease the creepy prevalence. There are certain elements that accelerate receiving the “creepy single guy” moniker as opposed to the older guy sitting there with his wife…. I'm hoping they will give us a special tour of the Poly Tower after the meeting.

Would having this help fool some until the right lady can be found? (Towel "animal" from a Polynesian stay)

Something I think people are missing in the convo about PVB Tower is the reason they needed to do this. The bungalows really messed up the points system, as they are almost always empty. Poly needed more rooms and the studio only was likely a mistake. So in my opinion, they needed to add on. Problem is, they had no other room to go long with long houses, so they had to go up with a tower.
All of our points are Poly and we love the resort more than any other. The vibe, the tiki torches, the beach… we are being very open minded about the tower. Will we stay there? Maybe. We shall see what the points look like. But… we are thrilled that we will get some new options, food and something different. Very glad it is part of the original association.
I too thought the view did not change from the Poly side, you can barely see it from most of the resort. But I can also see how it totally changed for other resorts like VGF. We are hopeful for some cool new things, like another pool, food options, more shopping and new room types that don’t break the points chart.
