Are there three bathrooms in the dedicated two bedrooms in the new Poly tower rooms? I really like that room layout in AKL. We once spent a week in one of those with friends with three small kids. There was plenty of room for all in that configuration. I tried a quick google search and found this image on DVCnews that seems to suggest the answer is yes. Yes, both the dedicated and lockoff two bedrooms will have 3 bathrooms/toilets. The one bedrooms will have 2 bathrooms/toilets. This might be the thing that pushes me over the edge to buying more points at the poly. Those extra bathrooms w/ toilets make sharing a room so much easier - they're why I usually book at AKV or BLT when bringing friends.

Thanks, Nickys & Kaedeesmom!
That's good confirmation. It will be great to have another resort with that fantastic extra bathroom layout option!

A question, for which I don’t know if we’ll actually have an answer for until they release points charts for. In the list of room categories for cash bookings, the only view for the 2-beds is Theme Park view. Do you think that means that all the dedicated 2-beds are TPV, or are they just maximising revenue by only using the TPV villas? I would have been interested to have seen the cash price differential between Resort (standard) view and Theme Park view, as a guide to the likely points difference. Been out all day. Based on floorplans I think this is just what they decided to release for sure for cash offerings. I caught that too though in my updates. Lock offs were missing too and we know for a fact they exist

Somewhere I saw that all penthouse villas are TPV. What is on the other side of the top floor?

It was a few years before covid though before her twins turned 3. She always did cash direct with Disney. Maybe they don't anymore though. No idea but she's the one that clued me in on Disney direct prices being so good for 1 bedrooms vs renting. The floorplans were from the 1st floor though. Meaning they should be preferred at best. Those aren't listed either anywhere. Other side would be preferred view rooms that view golf course and monorail. And Disney actually has preferred and theme park listed so not just theme park. I do believe standard would be wasted on that type since they're promoting the extra large private deck.

My point is that on the top floor there are the penthouses. But they are all TPV.
So either they stretch from the lagoon side all the way across to the road side of the tower, or there are other rooms up there too.

Just count the balconies and windows. The 2-bedroom units take three balconies and each balcony had a door or double window. However the Penthouse 2-bedroom requires a double window and a door together.

So I like the rooms. Don't like the building so far but will wait til it's finished for a final decision on that. My only fear is that the over crowded monorail system will have longer waits during prime time hours.

It's listed on Disney's site too. Preferred views will be upper floors of the side facing the monorail and golf course. Preferred will also be the wing angling into the resort longhouses. Theme park upper floors facing the lagoon. Lower floors facing the parking lot will be standard. There are only a handful of them. The wings are not all the same height. There are other room types on the top/upper floors.

My only fear is that the over crowded monorail system will have longer waits during prime time hours. Reality is the building will be closer as a whole to the GCH vs Moorea or Pago Pago. Those of us who stay there actually don't use the monorail much. There are faster & far more reliable options. We tend to use paths to the TTC for Epcot and then boat or ferry for MK depending on where we are staying.

This rendering of the pool was posted to the wdwmagic forum. I don't know if it's new or from where it was obtained. The main Poly pool is usually crowded, but manageable IMO. I don't know if just another quiet pool will be enough to keep the Lava Pool from getting too crowded though. I hope there is more to the new pool than this.

It is the same layout as on the permit plans. It was never huge. Looks bigger on the plans to me and from pics I've seen IRL. I'm not sure where this came from. I like the designs on the side of the building though. blogmickey.com/2022/04/permit-reveals-location-size-and-shape-of-new-polynesian-village-disney-vacation-club-tower/

Apologize if this has already been addressed, does anyone have a realistic idea when we would be able to make points reservations. We have a stay booked at BCV the first week of March but with the pool closed would move to the new Tower in a 1 Bed. We currently do own points at Poly so could book, just don't know when this would be an option.
Thanks,
