Hi, folks...looking for "best guesses/speculation" here.
I just decided to buy 3 Sorcerer's Pass APs for my DS, DDIL and DGS....(b-day/Christmas gifts)....their b-days aren't (mostly) real soon (mid-July, mid-November, late June), but it occurred to me that w/3 of the APs on the "to purchase list" it ups the ante a bit on buying them prior to a price increase (their next trip isn't til May 2025, so there's no hurry to have the tix in hand)....so I did a google search for price increases on WDW APs and discovered most of those price increases have hit in June (12 over the past 20+ years)....which has me wondering if anyone here has heard anything about an upcoming price increase (or decision to not increase prices....that would be a lovely surprise!)
Also, whenever I've bought tix for DS & Family in the past, I've linked those tix to my MDE account. They now have their own account (we just jointly bought GFV and RR contracts, so they are now DVC owners in their own right). My guess is they'll prefer to have the tix linked to their MDE account. Can I do that, or will I have to have DS buy the APs so as to link them to his own MDE account?
Thanks for any thoughts you may have on these questions.

Not sure on increases. But, if you buy the Annual Disney Photopass and want their pictures to be captured they would need to be tied to your reservation. My wife does ours and links us all together on her account even if in different rooms.

My son and his partner recently went to WDW. I friended both of them on MDE (perhaps this is what you mean?), and I was able to download all of their photos and share with them. We weren't even @ WDW during this time period.

Thanks for the thoughts....DS has decided that linking his/his family's APs to my MDE account is fine (we've done that multiple times over the years, so that solves that issue)....so now all I need to do is "worry" about whether we'll get any notice (sometimes we get a day or two) of an upcoming price increase....I probably should just go ahead and bite the bullet and buy the APs--but it's a whole lot of money and so putting off the expenditure is something I'm inclined to do....oh, the problems of having some but never enough "extra" money! Grin....

IIRC, the last AP price increase was in Oct 2023.

IIRC, the last AP price increase was in Oct 2023. I hope so this year as well. Ours expire in October, so I think I can get a renewal in August. And do the UT gate bridging trick, of course.
Cheers.

Sigh. Okay I'm afraid to ask, but could you please share what the UT gate bridging trick is?

But the basic idea is that one buys the tickets at a discounter (like UT) and then calls to upgrade to AP at which time one can have the agent (if they know what they're doing) reflect the value of the ticket at the Disney gate prices (as opposed to the discounted price) when applying to the upgrade.
When last I checked, this worked both in person and over the phone.
Cheers.

I don't know how to "friend" someone on MDE. Can you explain it please (and be basic-I'm not very computer literate)

Here's a site that shows it. distripsandmore.com/linking-my-disney-experience-accounts/
