I think Disney could make certain dates of the year Complimentary for Deluxe Resort Guests because the heat alert warnings can not be part of the planning . Currently arriving g in a few days and could have the advance selections but now I’m thinking $$$ Heat warning and never knowing when it is going to decide to rain in Florida w/ without a forecast $$$ Overcrowding $$$ Construction and some disappointment w/ completed projects…those walls at Epcot $$$ and consistently poor attraction maintenance also aggravated by intense sun only gonna get worse dilemma

That would be most of the summer. Overcrowding? That would be all of the holiday seasons. Construction and disappointment with completed projects? That is year round. So, basically, you are advocating for free lightning lane multi pass for all Deluxe resort guests (I assume you mean the multi pass and not park entry).

disappointment with completed projects? ...looking at you, Epcot I would amend your statements of "hot days = summer" and "overcrowding = holidays" to, in my experience the last bunch of years, to "every time I go, even though it's supposed to be quiet" and "doesn't matter what time of year I go, always seems to be some record-setting heat wave"

I haven’t considered it to be hot until this week with humidity levels . Of course, I grew up without AC in the Midwest and rarely use it in my car …I do live in Florida .
But you are correct …it is time to get rid of AP limit to 5 Park reservation penalty .

disappointment with completed projects? ...looking at you, Epcot ...and "doesn't matter what time of year I go, always seems to be some record-setting heat wave" The hottest few days every recorded on earth have come within the past month or so. With Global Climate Change in full swing, this is only going to get worse. This heat is the new normal. We have to adapt since the alternatives ain't happening.
Cheers.

Now I feel like a delicate flower. LOL.

DFW has been consistently hotter and more alerts than MCO area this entire summer…I monitor cause my family is there ! I guess now I understand why they vacationed in Iceland this summer probably sounded like a good idea until volcanic eruptions .
They used to sell cars without factory installed AC

They used to sell cars without factory installed AC I’m old enough to remember no A/C in cars. Also, automatic transmission was also not standard back then.

I can remember no AC but I can't handle the heat like I could even 5 years ago. Nor can I handle manual steering. LOL

Parallel parking with manual steering is always good times. But, after learning that way on busy streets where you had to do it fast (and often on the left side, too) it is a cinch now.
Even worse, though, is when your power steering goes out - luckily doesn't happen often because the hydraulic systems used for the last 60 years don't really fail. But now everybody is switching to electric assist power steering so watch out as your cars get older.
One of the vehicles in my driveway is a shuttle bus - the kind that picks you up at the airport when you are going to a hotel and there are 20 seats and a wheelchair lift in the back. A huge one-ton beast. The power steering and the power brakes are one and the same - "hydraulic assist braking" it seems to be a heavy truck thing. Backing out one day, the internal shaft in the pump snapped and stopped pumping. You haven't lived until you've driven a thing around town where you not only have to haul on the steering wheel with both arms as hard as you can, but you have to stand on the brake pedal with both feet as hard as you can. Good times, good times.

Nor can I handle manual steering. LOL I'm OK with manual steering. I still don't trust these self-driving cars completely. Rather do it myself
Cheers.

A conversation about Genie Plus has turned into "We used to have to crank our windows up and down." lol

A conversation about Genie Plus has turned into "We used to have to crank our windows up and down." lol And tun in to waste paper with physical Fast Pass tickets. So, just a thread about antiquated methods of doing things that have been supplanted with superior technology. All on topic
Cheers.
