Today is the grand opening of the DVC Cabins at Ft Wilderness campground.
Is anyone going or know someone who is staying at the Cabins this week/month?
I know they are not for me, but I know others will like them. Looking forward to reading some reviews and opinions of the latest DVC resort.

And this is the first room tour from guests actually moved in that I could find, again from The Laughing Place.

To be fair they weren’t claiming to be first (at least I don’t think they were). It was the only one I could find on YouTube. I only know how to search for people on Facebook, didn’t realise you could search by topic! Can you tell I rarely go on? 😂😂

Now that the Cabins are open.....How long before Disney puts the Cabins in the rear view mirror and start pumping the Poly tower?

I'm thinking a little longer still given the time of the newer DVC resorts. I don't think we'll see it until end of summer. I thought we might have it for July after some of the deals expired but when most were extended I figured not even close yet.

Yep, on the 25th they had "new" deals that were similar. Ends Sept 30th

I would think they would keep pushing the cabins as long as they can. I don't think they will push the Poly tower until it is time to start selling points. The Poly tower will sell itself so you don't want potential buyers holding out for Poly, so keep pushing the cabins as long as possible.

I think an announcement will follow the end of the latest incentives pretty quickly. I suspect DVC realise that flogging a dead horse is unlikely to result in many sales. And I have been told by a couple of people who did a tour n the last 3 weeks that the sales rep was pushing them towards Riviera from the get-go.

Maybe the sales reps think the prices/fees on the cabins are so off-putting that they'd rather try to salvage a sale somehow by pushing Riviera. I still think Poly sells itself and they won't really need to push it. I guess we'll see. I freely admit that I could easily be wrong on this.

I just think they’ll move on to the Poly as soon as they reasonably can.

While I think Poly sells itself, I still think the economy dictates the sales. The economy stinks and inflation has increased by over 3% in just this past year, while salaries have not increased in the same proportion. I think the initial Poly sales will be strong, but then it will level off. VGF sold out last year - but with the welcome home incentives I am not at all surprised. If they do the same for poly then it will probably sell out in a similar fashion, if they keep the price high, it will remain stagnant.
