Oh my, it is going to smell heavenly in that area when they start cooking. Menu looks amazing, different from anywhere else I have eaten at WDW. Can't wait to give it a try.

Wow, here's hoping it tastes as good as it's described because this sounds like something everyone in our family would enjoy.

About damn time, indeed. Not as thrilled as others but I'm sure I'll try it sometime soon.
Still think they're missing the boat until they add a Toy Story character breakfast, I think that would be an instant success.

If it's like the one at Epcot I'll likely be unable to eat. DHS needs to get better food. Or remove the bbq and smoked crap from the QS place.

Hmmmm. That's a lot of food. DH and I tend to like small plates.
It does look good though.

Hmmmm. That's a lot of food. DH and I tend to like small plates. It does look good though. Yep, this is Disney's way of fighting back against cost-conscious restaurant-goers. The proliferation of prix fixe menus, all-you-can-eat formats, and character meals all across WDW lately allows Disney to lock diners into a high per-person spend, regardless of how much they want to eat. They know exactly what they're doing, and people like you and I, who prefer to eat smaller portions and/or split meals with a partner, are exactly the type of diner they are purposefully trying to weed out of attending these restaurants. It happened with Be Our Guest, it happened at California Grill, Space 220 opened with that format, etc. and I can tell you now that you'll see a lot more restaurants opening with or moving to these fixed-price formats than you'll find are moving away from them, until people decide enough is enough and stop going. My guess is that's a long way off, so for now, Disney is cashing in. I refuse to participate.

The proliferation of prix fixe menus, all-you-can-eat formats, and character meals all across WDW lately I know I've said it before, but here I go: we used to eat at Tusker House all the time, it was my favorite on property. It became character and we had to sneak in during dinners, I think they didn't do character at that time. Then it went character 24/7 and we never go, ever. I can't blame them, though: Put a couple $10/hr actors in costumes and charge people $20 extra per head, and suddenly the place has a waiting list where it used to be 75% capacity or less.

Got ours booked. Hopefully the brisket doesn't win in the fight with my jaw.

They've also gutted the HBD Lounge small plates menu. We still go because there's enough that we can make a meal of it, and DW likes the burrata/tomato salad that can be ordered from the main menu.
