So has anyone else felt a sudden persistence by DVC sales reps in purchasing the new Poly Tower? My guide emailed me twice and sent text messages about purchasing. I just replied that we are looking at resale contracts, that the incentives were not enough to offset the high direct pricing.
He just emailed me back. Said he checked resale pricing and that direct was not too far from them. What? Then continued to say that there are no fixed weeks on the resale market.
Well, this kind of tells me some things. Are sales flying off the shelf as most have projected? Why the persistence? Are sales as robust as people feel?

Nope....Have not heard a peep from my guide for Poly. But then again, I have never inquired at Poly or bought it in the past.
I still keep looking for another Riviera contract. But there has been literally zero Oct Use Year contracts for sale the past couple of months.

We've been receiving emails about every other week. We haven't purchased since 2018 so maybe she figures we're due? Or did she notice we booked the Poly for a pre-cruise night? Was a little surprised but I seem to remember the same when the FW Cabins were about to be released so maybe this is a new directive from Management.

Well my guide left in the spring, so I had no guide initially. I got a new guide due to asking about minimum buy in amount. He sent me information pre-sale and then on the 1st. Nothing else. He was even out today when I called (it's his weekend on Thurs & Friday). I have seen a lot of smaller contracts for $200-225 (yes $225, why? ). They will stretch the truth to get sales though. We all know it. I do know there have been reports of people wanting fixed weeks and already sold out. Took too long to call and missed on the popular holiday weeks. Crazy. So if you were looking at fixed weeks, he could be pushy since they are kind of flying off the shelf. Or could be a lousy sales person. My guide will likely call tomorrow and I'll be at Ohio State for a skull session with my kid's band. But other than the emails sent when I asked for information and then the one the day of sales, nothing. I usually get an email the day resorts go on sale, or at least I did for the cabins which I had zero interest in.

One email only. Seemed to be the one DVC always sends with a new resort with my guide’s name on the bottom.

Don’t give up hope on your fixed week…I wanted fixed holiday week at Riviera and was told Sold Out … I asked guide to call me when new points were put into the inventory and the very next day they called and I signed the contract. And everything was in my Membership account . Unfortunately I changed my mind but I just wanted to let you know .

I received e-mails from our guide concerning Fort Wilderness Cabins. I told him I was not interested in the Cabins but he seemed persistent and sent two or three more. Now that the Poly Tower has emerged I have received e-mails concerning the Tower. Again, I indicated we were not interested.
I tried to explain that at our stage in life we most likely would not be purchasing any more timeshares and were well satisfied with what we have.

My husband actually called our guide to inquire about the Poly Tower. We agreed that she would call back on Oct 1 to let us know about incentives. She did call and I couldn’t talk extensively and the second time she called I still couldn’t so ignored it. I do have a short list of questions and am seriously interested in maybe 100 points so the only real incentive would be the 25$ off the price for buying early.

I have also received the cabin emails. At that time I think they didn't have a name on it since my guide had left. I just talked with my current guide this afternoon and the demand is high. He mentioned it only because usually e sign documents come quickly, but he said give it up to a day to see them to sign them. Points are already loaded though for us. He also did confirm that they plan to have these online as well as calling. I plan to be online looking it hopes to get our two bedroom Theme Park View. He said I should be decent with those because they are high point rooms so likely not as high of demand. Especially since comparatively, we own more points at Polynesian and a lot of other Polynesian owners do. Said to just be on it. I think it will be an 11-month booking for many things. And I should probably copy and paste this into the other thread as well.

We are in cruising mode right now. After the family trip, I’m not sure when we will get back. Also, we are in our 60’s and 70’s. Not sure how long we will have to enjoy the purchase. A problem I’ve never wanted to be faced with. But we will not live forever.

Odd about Poly emails. I have 200 Direct points from when old one opened but have received absolutely nothing from my Guide. He very rarely communicates but I believe did send a short email about the Wilderness cabins. Odd not a thing about new Poly. (actually glad as most likely won't add on at my age). Plus, I already use my Poly/BCV points at BWV. Somehow travel daughter and myself have grown huge attachment to BWV. Just got back about 20 minutes ago.
Funny thing is DH's favorite is BLT. I honestly should have actually 'stayed' at resorts before I purchased anything in 2014. Duh. (Though still actually love them all and grateful I have points.)
