The art work and even the headboards will probably make it over to cast connection for resale to CMs so they probably will live on and not be scrapped.

Since then I’ve seen screenshots of more photos showing that the sleeper chair has been replaced with the twin pull-down Murphy bed.
I am now livid. That sleeper chair meant that a 1-bed at BLT (our home resort), Kidani and OKW would sleep our family of 4 adults. And although we spoilt ourselves last time with a 2-bed, we can’t do that for an entire stay.
I think this might just be the end of the road for us and DVC. We’d have to combine a points stay with a cash stay, which is just cost prohibitive for 2 rooms onsite.
The only viable solution for us is if OKW keep the sleeper chairs. I don’t see Kidani keeping them after the next refurb.

Although some have been found at a couple of places in Orlando. I’m sounding out the possibility of getting one shipped over but the cost is probably astronomical.

Man I thought the BLT artwork was awesome. Years ago I printed out a Mickey-head and framed it.

But won't the murphy bed fit 2 and then maybe the under the TV be a twin? Can they change the number of people that can fit in the room ....?

I saw the single murphy replacing the chair and then the sofabed by a (probably) queen murphy. This doesn't change the sleeping number. I do not remember where is reading about it, but that's what people saw in the end. The backsplash in BLT looked weird to me before. This new looks even worse. Reminds me of the crap they got rid of at OKW during the last refurb.

The problem is that by swapping out the sleeper chair for the twin pull-down under the TV, they still have beds for 5 but not for 5 adults. I know some small adults sleep on the twin but I wouldn’t put a 6ft man on one. Whereas the sleeper chair was fine. And two I'm not sure I would agree that's entirely through. I have read reports of tall people sleeping at the ones at SSR and at Polynesian with no issues at all. The sleeper chairs really aren't all that big either. There's both smaller than a standard twin. Personally I would wait to see what they say the dimensions are and if they're close to the sleeper chair, there may not be an issue at all for you. I actually hated the sleeper chair at blt. My brother opened it up one time when he was staying with us and he was having a restless night of sleep so he moved into the living area as to not to disturb my kid. It was ungodly uncomfortable compared to the Murphy beds. I don't know if you've stayed elsewhere to try to see what they are like though.

Cheers.

Every refurb Disney/DVC toss items that others treasure. I hope you're able to source some of the pictures. The sleeper chair I always thought was uncomfortable to sit and the pull-out sofa was a back wrecker so, to may way of thinking, replacing these with murphy bed options are good refurbishments. An inexpensive inflatable bed could be purchased from Target or Walmart. Back in the 90's this is how we use to accommodate 5 at CBR. I realized we were against fire code but I was willing to take the risk. We always took it back home though I've read threads where people toss them. Comparing costs, an inflatable bed is less than spending more points on a larger villa. The one we use to use we would deflate in the morning and push it under the bed with the fitted sheet still on it so it could be easily re-inflated. I hope this suggestions doesn't get me 'dinged' like it did on DisBoards. If so, sorry, but it's a real solution and the villa already accommodates 5 so no fire code violation.

Every refurb Disney/DVC toss items that others treasure. I was seriously tempted to dumpster dive for a section of the old BWV hall carpet. DW will confirm.

Hopefully the finished product looks good and they fix a few issues of the original design.
I can guarantee you that there will be less furniture and no sleep chair. Those are expensive and DVC will not replace.
