Yep we're in the midwest. Though in the farm town in Ohio I grew up in, school was only Labor Day until Memorial Day. A few days off here or there but not real spring or weeks long winter breaks. Kids were needed for farming. Then we moved to the suburbs of Cbus and had 2+ week long winter and added in spring breaks. Just glad we aren't like Arizona that does end of July Eagle Scout project for my son: built two 8 foot long movable storage shelves that are about 4.5 feet high and 2.5 feet wide. He's finishing up his Eagle requirements now and should be an official Eagle Scout in maybe 3 weeks we hope. Sounds impressive to me. Of course I'm quite pleased with myself when I can put together whatever I buy from Amazon or IKEA... Best wishes that the remainder of the process goes as smoothly as possible. All the Scouts helped build and paint too. The older scouts love using power tools 🤣 Scout conference on Monday instead. He conflated a picnic and a meeting not realizing Sunday was the picnic. Fridays are long here.... Kids were tired as it was cool enough for wool uniforms but too hot at the same time. Kids were soaked mostly at the end.

The weather is beautiful here in SEPA - nice breeze, low humidity, and sunny with a predicted high of 80. Would love to get out of shorts - maybe capris today!!

Hi Patty !! Thxs Brian Brian I’ve seen outtakes of Hard Knocks, and it was excellent (my son say so too) …. so I’ll probably take HBO for a month or two, just to see it. What is your Take ? Most strombolis serve it on the side only, but some evil places try to trick you. That's a good idea with HBO (Max), think I may do the same. Actually think I'm supposed to have Max included as part of my AT&T cell service, from back before AT&T sold them off. I'll check that first... Brian ya it’s cool watching Rogers teaching the younger players and they’re listening intensely Hi Karl! Did you hear the Lions have already sold out of all their season tickets!?!?! Dan, Yes I did and that’s very cool It will be fun watching them this year, They should have a good year and The Lions and Fans are so overdue for a good season Brian same goes for your Jets , They are also so overdue for a good season, I’m so hopeful for your season We’re going to the Colts preseason game tonight, granddaughter Emma is preforming as a Colts Junior Cheerleader pre-game, This will be Fun ….. will be fun also watching QB Anthony Richardson’s development

All the Scouts helped build and paint too. The older scouts love using power tools 🤣 This reminds me of a far-back memory! Not Scouts, but in junior high and high school I was involved in a lot of science and math stuff. I think one year the science team was making a float for a parade, so I went for a bit. There was this group of kids in somebody's dad's garage or something. Somebody was "using" a standard carpenter's handsaw to cut a 2x4, and when I say "using" I mean it was obvious that he had seen people cut wood in cartoons and stuff but never actually done this. For whatever reason, no progress was being made. I grew up doing this stuff in my dad's garage, and after a couple minutes I couldn't take it anymore and I said "gimme that!" and took the saw and made the cut in a few seconds. Same story with hammering nails, it was painful watching these science nerd kids try to do this blue-collar stuff. I was like a god that day!

Even though the game was fun, we think we’ll definitely have growing pains this year, but that’s ok we want to draft Marvin Harrison Jr (WR out of Ohio St) Yep we think Emma is Adorable too

Looking at the weather this morning, it said something about heat advisory for Tuesday/Wednesday. I said "huh?" then looked at the upcoming forecast. 97 on Tuesday and 99 on Wednesday. This is Minnesota!
I don't know what it was this weekend, they were saying it was supposed to be hot...all's I know is on Saturday, every time I left the house and went outside, my glasses fogged up. It was muggy.

Adorable indeed, Karl! That would be great if you guys could get Marvin Harrison, Junior.
I'm worried about growing pains for my Jets as well. At least thus far Rodgers seems likely to remain beyond one season.
Freaking Monday once again. Bah humbug.

Ha, a daily occurrence here. Multiple times even. I would expect that for where you are, though...here it doesn't happen nearly so often.
