I find that as I age the more the coasters bother me. I have never been a coaster fan but I could enjoy a wild mouse. When we vacationed with the kids it wasn't an issue because DH could always find a kid willing to ride with him, usually the eldest (his mini me). There is nothing I can do anymore on HS RRC that I don't come off with an aching neck and sometimes a bit of nausea. I use to always enjoy SM and then the LL side became really rocky. The last time we road the standby because it was the smoother side but even that bothered both of us. I can do Everest and the Barnstormer. GotG was good until I was walking away, which I really found strange, but I'd be willing to try it again. TRON being smooth is a bonus for DH because we'll try it at some point.

So we received the DVC email to pre-ride TRON. The interesting part is only a viable pass is needed to enter to ride TRON. We will be expected to leave directly after we're done on TRON unless we have a MK Park Reservation, which we do not. That works for us.

I never received a confirmation email but did see the MK park reservation in MDE so I guess we are good to go!

I'm reviving this thread because I was on Tron twice last week, once in Virtual Queue and once Purchased Lightning Lane.
Yes, the loading is a bit confusing. Yes, the duration is disappointingly short. The virtual queue line leaves a LOT to be desired in terms of umbrellas and sun shade. They were smart to add restrooms at the corner of the queue. Would I ride it again? Maybe - and YES if it's a walk-on, which won't happen for many years from now Would I PAY to ride it again? ....um...no Would I pay to ride GoG again? Oh, yes....I would
IMO, the lockers are overkill and add a LOT of delay to the experience - it's as if the lockers are mandatory and AS IF you'll lose your glasses on the ride if you don't put EVERYTHING in the locker. Not true. Unless you have something really bulky, you'll be fine.
But my biggest issue is that the ride is not flexible for most people. I'm 6' 2" and 190 lbs which is pretty average and normal, and yet I had trouble fitting in many ways, both long and short. In particular, I had trouble getting my feet on the rear foot rest, and after launch I felt a painful "pop" in my right ribcage, which is still bothering me a week later. Finally, to really see what's going on with the ride, you're flattened out on the cycle but you have to unnaturally tilt your head up to see anything. Meh.
For me, the next time I do Tron, it will probably be a 5 minute walk-on, which may or may not ever happen, even when my BLT contract expires when I'm 90 years old.

I've been on Tron three times. Once with the DVC preview. Once with a virtual cue. And once with a paid lightning lane. All three times I rode in the accessible seat in the back. Due to arthritis, I cannot kneel or ride a stride. But the accessible seating is just like Guardians of the Galaxy. It's very roomy and comfortable with a lap bar that comes down and holds you in place. One thing I will say about this ride is that it's extremely smooth. Honestly it's the smoothest roller coaster I've ever been on. Yes it has a fast launch which is probably the most exciting feature. And I would like to experience it at night although I expect demand for that to be extremely high.
Three out of seven trains have the accessible seats in the back. That gives them a total of six accessible seats. Cast members tell me they're working on getting more trains with accessible seats because of the issue for tall people. The entire locking system is dependent on the size of your calves. If they are too big, then it will not lock correctly. You are not being held in place by the piece along your back. That's just there to make you feel comfortable and it does flex. It's the bar across your calves that hold you in place. And yes it means you don't actually have to hold on to anything. You can put your arms up in the air and dangle by your legs. You're not going anywhere.
Of the times I rode only the first time did I have a significant weight for the accessible seats. And that was during the AP preview. My wait was probably in another 10 minutes. Not very long at all. By the time I wrote it a third time I had absolutely no way. In fact I was on the train so fast I didn't have time to get ready.
It is a very short ride. The vehicle goes slower inside after your fast launch. The video effects are very cool although I can see it being difficult to watch when you're leaning over your light cycle. However in the accessible seats you're sitting upright and you can see everything. My cousin rode with me in the accessible seat or last time and he enjoyed it much better. Keep in mind he can ride the light cycle. He just chose to ride with me.
I think this ride is a good addition to Tomorrowland. Just what you needed compared to Space mountain. And anyone who has any concerns about motion sickness, Tron is something you can do. Like I said it is extremely smooth. You're not going to turn around. There are no huge drops. I found it even easier to ride than 7DMT.
Now my favorite of all the roller coasters is Guardians of the Galaxy. I will pay to go on that over and over. And in fact I usually do. I'll get in the virtual cue for a morning ride and then pay for an evening lightning lane. That way I can begin and end my day with an adrenaline rush. Tron I will go on if I get in the virtual cue. Otherwise I don't have to do it.

Loved the ride. Each trip I say to myself, not sure how much longer/many more years I will ride some of these rides (Expedition, Space Mountain, etc.). My husband does not ride any. It is usually when we are on a trip with one of my kids or friends. The only negative thing was that it was a tiny bit too short. Reminded me of the Barnstormer. Happy I was able to ride TRON and Guardians of the Galaxy two weeks ago with my son.

I liked Tron - smooth track and short ride. Ditto Barnstormer. Expedition I just started to ride in '20. I can't decide if I like that coaster or not - I can't 'see' it - I don't even feel that drop. I get DH to tell me when it's happening. I keep expecting to see more of AK. I find that I can't handle Space Mountain anymore, between the rocky track and the weird cars (I don't know why they made cars with individual seats but you're sitting up out of the car). With the old cars I could get my son to ride a coaster because he was against one of us but once the 3 seater cars showed up he became a hard 'no' and frankly, I agree with him. I tried to persevere but the last time all the rocking gave me a headache. Ditto RRC.

I hope people will report on whether boarding groups are allowed late to Tron. I know during the soft opening they were not allowed. GotG they do allow people to come late. I am not sure about Remy and I cannot remember for RotR. I know we didn't try once since we had dinner and didn't bother with it for Rise. I'm only curious for when our kids are with us in the fall. It really causes issues with dining or it can.

I am assuming it will be like Rise. We were late to ours but it was due to a lunch ADR. We showed before we went to lunch and they said no worries, come back after lunch. We went to lunch a bit early and told them too so they didn't linger with us. Then back to Rise and told new CMs what happened and how we checked in before our lunch ADR (A well sought out Sci fi) and was starting to pull a screen shot of my day and they let us in. My guess is something like that or being stuck on a ride that broke down would get you in late with some proof. Nothing else though.

Make it too easy and people will take advantage, especially if/when the timing can alter the experience.

My family and I liked it, but it was too short. I feel like they could've made it so much more than it was. The ride and concept are really cool, they just didn't do enough with the experience and made it too short. Still a fund ride. I think the recent additions of Rise and Guardians has ruined my expectations.
