That's really silly to put a beverage cooler in a space that was meant for a fridge. I would imagine there is a pretty big gap. I bet they did that to minimize the differences between the two resorts. I also imagine that VGF is the only resort to have coolers installed. Such a downgrade for a luxury resort. Sad.

Just returned from my third stay at Big Pine Key, each time a resort studio lagoon view. For my September and my December stays, I had a room with the table/mirror/floral wall entryway and full balcony. This time, I got one of the dormer rooms. Compared to the non-dormer with full balcony, this room felt much smaller - and I was disappointed about three details: 1), the lack of the beautiful entryway; 2), the closets were about one third smaller than the non-dormer room; and 3), the closed-in balcony was VERY small compared with the full-balcony included with the non-dormer room. I am surprised that they did not make a separate booking category for the dormer rooms (requiring a slightly fewer amount of points), because it definitely did not feel as spacious as the non-dormer rooms I stayed in previously. The lack of entryway table, mirror, and floral decor also took away from my enjoyment of the room. I tried to do a rough measurement of the dormer room, and the square footage I calculated (granted, might not be totally accurate because I didn't have the proper tools) was about 353 square feet, which is about 80 square feet smaller than the non-dormer rooms. Pretty considerable difference. I visited the front desk and to their credit they did offer to move us the second day, but we had just done a move from a split stay at BCV, and due to DH's very bad back we declined. Despite the disappointment in comparison to our previous room we still had a wonderful stay, but as I said I think the dormer rooms should be their own booking category - like they did with the value rooms at Animal Kingdom Jambo.
