I just moved a five-day OKW (2-BR) reservation to the Beach Club in June! I'm in shock....
I do have a a WL for a 2-bed lock-off and kept it, because what I got is a dedicated 2-BR. I'd prefer a lock-off, as the studio portion is perfect for me and the 1-BR portion is perfect for my DS, DIL and DGS. But the dedicated 2-bed is absolutely also a good choice.
And it's just plain miraculous that at 2 months out for a five-night reservation, BCV came available.
BCV is heads-and-shoulders by far my DS'/DIL's favorite resort (I love it too). We'd been happy w/our 2-BR lock-off at OKW, but they're going to be over the moon when they see we will be at BCV instead.
This is going to be a very special trip. We start on 6/17 at AKL/Kidani--vacationing w/DIL's brother & his family (really looking forward to that!)....the "big families" (one of 4 and one of 3) will share the 2-BR; I will have a separate studio, until 6/23. My studio is booked thru 6/24, so we'll even have a place to go to put DGS down for his nap while we wait for our room to be ready at BCV on 6/23. Then, DS, DIL & DGS (he turns two the day after we move to BCV) and I will extend our time at WDW by five days when we move to BCV. Both DS and DIL work from home, and they are going to try their hand at working at Disney (w/me there to take care of DGS when they are working). DS grew up watching me work at WDW and he's excited to see if he can make it work for him. I will also be doing some work, but I have close-to-total flexibility on the time of my work, so this should work out really well.
I still can't believe a 2-BR at BCV came open just two months out! SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited, I just had to share....

Oops....counted wrong....our miraculous BCV reservation is three, not two, months out (maybe it shows how eager we are for this trip?)....sorry about that....

Congratulations!! I think as people get closer to banking window and refining plans, rooms open up. We may be dropping a couple nights at BCV for VGF - not sure yet:)

Thanks for sharing. I WL'd for BC studio in October. I could only get 3 nights so we booked SSR. Figured the WL would be worth a try and maybe I'll get my own unicorn.
