Got a call from a "guide."

We're on our 3rd guide since joining DVC in '08. The first retired about 4 years after we purchased. I forget how we acquired the next one, who we purchased our 3rd Home. He use to send automated Welcome Home calls every visit and christmas cards. He moved on to the resale market. With our final add-on we acquired a Cali rep, Paulina Martinez, who sends us an occasional email, which I might have mentioned is all we wanted. Her latest email was the DL incentive.

Frankly, with our home situation, every time we see the flashing light on the phone we're worried. I have to say Saratoga and the October cruise were the worst with the phones. They both kept leaving innocuous messages in the middle of the night. The best part of the Wish is the phone is impossible to see unless you go looking for it.

I will say one oddly freaky thing about the recent contact from my new guide was the follow up email. Although he called on my phone number and only spoke with me, he sent a follow-up email to both me and to my deceased spouse. Both started: “ It was great speaking with you today ….”

If you are a DVC member, you have a guide. We were tight with our first guide, Nancy Barbee. She went way beyond your typical salesman. She retired after the pandemic. I have received calls and emails from our new guide. He is not personable like our original guide, but he gets the job done.
