Well, the article was less than clear. It says "would be replaced with a one-time annual stipend of $1,000." Is it one time, or is it annual? if one time, then a definite downgrade. if truly annual, then maybe not. If it’s one time, then yes it’s a down grade if it’s yearly that’s different. This is an annual increase to their pay.
And their taxable income, assuming Disney/RC was previously covering any tax impact from the gift of the passes. |

And their taxable income. But I would guess that the APs carried some tax liability as well since they are compensation. So, if this is truly annual (as opposed to "one time" - atrocious wording), then they would seem to be pretty much whole here with more flexibility.

This one shows when I click on the forum as recent threads. Were there two different but similar threads at one point? I thought they were one and the same. I remember you saying you were moving it and creating a debate board. Then the other (can’t figure if they are the same) would disappear unless one looked for it. If you click on the new threads etc yes, but not at the top. The debate board exists under the Community Hall. All threads have *Debate* in the title now. This one has News. I cannot remove them from everywhere so this is the best I can do. I suggest you not look at recent posts if you are unsure where a post may belong. The article was a bit confusing. In one paragraph it said one time $1000 stipend, then further down it said the were receiving a pay raise of $1400+ ‘and they would go from there’ paraphrasing. So I heard from the beginning they were going to get a pay raise, I think the $1000 stipend is separate. What was interesting was clicking on the invoice links. It wasn’t as if Disney was just handing out free cards. They invoice for the passes, discounts, hotel stays. Of course because Dis has all these separate entities. So the bill from last was between. WDW parks to Reedy Creek. |
