They use to have an issue with rib injuries on the old Matterhorn in DL because It was so rough and jerked into the turns so you would get thrown up against the side of the car. I don't see how Tron could actually hurt the ribs because there is nothing to hit them against. I could see that maybe you could strain some of your core muscles and that could hurt for a few days. I am pretty big and I didn't have issues although in my youth I spent a lot of time riding motorcycles and bicycles way too fast in the mountain roads of SoCal so I pretty much lean into the turns.

I've ridden four times now with no issues.

The only issue I had (rode it twice last Friday) was lack of neck mobility so I had a hard time looking up to see where we were going. The ride itself is very smooth.

Tron was great, no problems here. Too short of a ride and looking up as previously said are the only down falls. Hopefully an early boarding group tomorrow before we leave.

We rode twice last week. I also have some issues with pain. Getting on the bike was pretty easy, and I didn’t feel like I couldn't move. In fact, I could easily have ridden without even holding the handle bar, but you do have to pull it back towards you when you get on the bike. I do my best not to touch much at WDW, as I’m immunosuppressed and don’t need any extra bacteria hitching a ride on my hands. Anyway, getting on the bike and riding were easy. Getting back off the bike was harder for me.

donalddork it's been a month or so, now. How are you feeling? I went on Tron a few weeks ago and was fine. Yes, it was an awkward position to be in for a few minutes, but ultimately had no problems or issues with it. I thought it was a pretty smooth coaster compared to rides like Space Mountain, Test Track, or BTMRR. I'm fine now....thanks for asking. But it did take a couple of weeks for the discomfort to completely subside.
I was underwhelmed by Tron anyway, so I don't think I'll do it again unless it's a walk-on (good luck with that...)

Good to hear, Donalddork, you're back in good health. I too read issues that people were having with the forward seat placement and the leg clamping system.
We enjoyed Tron. My biggest problem was throwing my leg over the seat, on and off, but the ride was smooth and I thought the seating was comfortable. I had to reach back to verify I had the seat back against my back. I enjoyed the ride length. I enjoy Barnstormer's length also. LOL
We rode it once so maybe the second time, if we get a second time, the length or seat type will be an issue.

All of WDW's smooth roller coasters are too short, in my opinion. Mine Train, Slinky Dog, Tron, and Guardians are all the ones I would include in that category.

Slinky was budget cuts, which leads me to believe that the others were likely shortened for the same reason. Slinky was supposed to go out over Swirling Saucers. FWIW, Space Mtn is three minutes; RnRC is 1:22. Everest is three minutes. SDMT is listed at 3 but feels quicker than that.

I have to agree with you on all of those except Guardians....I haven't timed it, but after riding it around 8 times, it's very satisfying. I feel the same way about FoP.

We are going to WDW next week. Those of you that have been on Tron, is it hard on the knees? I have knee issues (osteoarthritis) and don't want to try the ride if it is going to further aggravate my knees. Especially since MK will be the first park we visit.

The trip before I had a serious Achilles tendon issue going on. Had to take frequent rests at the bar… , the hubby nicely said “ Hun, we need to take a break from Disney”. So, we are cruising right now. Not that far from the pool to the bar! Just out of curiosity were you taking an antibiotic Cipro something or other? My understanding is that it can do strange things to tendons..

I also have knee issues but my problems were vision (so dark) and getting my leg high enough to swing over the cycle. I noticed no knee involvement at all.
