FINALLY!!! It worked for me. All I did was reload my cart and my items were there. Then I was able to purchase without an issue. My sister and my nephew have their annual passes. Our next trip is in September.
Interestingly I've been trying since 6:30 this morning. I've just been checking it periodically since. And the whole thing did not start working until 9:00 a.m. on the dot.

My two cents: I am in the queue as well. I was on the fence on whether to buy the AP or not since I really only have one trip planned in the next year. I would only be buying the AP out of fear of not being able to get one later. However having one will tempt me to go more often than I would normally because I would want to maximize the value of the thousand bucks I just doled out. I am retired now and do not make a six figure annual income anymore. Sooooo, I have to pay attention to my part time job right now. If I miss out because I missed the queue opening...so be it.

For those here who have successfully purchased AP's this morning via the website, they have been new purchases, not bridging an existing unused ticket, correct?

I'm having to purchase by phone since I'm upgrading tickets. Just got through on the member services phone line. Went through the prompts and got the message that it will be a two-hour wait. I've waited this long for annual passes, so what's a couple more hours?

Yes, we bought new passes and not an upgrade. Finally got through about ~8:45 this morning (with confirmation received). What a stressful ordeal with the delays and website crashing.

We're looking at it a bit differently. For us, we've often only made one trip per year, although sometimes 2. We've been constrained by school schedules (both kids, and DH who is a professor). As we're getting very close to retirement, we would like to go more often - but without the AP, we will not do so. And without going more than once a year, we really don't need all the points we currently have. Honestly, we were pretty close to saying we were going to sell if we couldn't get APs. Not quite there yet, but close. So getting APs is really central to whether we continue to be DVC members.

All who had to bridge I read on my FB group had to call. Some got the AP line to do it but most were told to call DVC. But bridging was possible.

I finallyl got a timer on my queue for the web page. I had to wait on that page for almost an hour before it gave me a 30 minute wait time.

Just got through on the virtual queue and purchased. Phew! Shouldn't be this hard to give someone a bunch of money!

So for those who bought new. What is the policy now for first use? Since they stopped selling APs the renewals now no longer require activation in person before use. I wasn't sure if they told you what might have changed.

From what I read online the only people who were getting passes before 9:00 a.m. were on the phone upgrading their existing tickets. I don't think it started allowing new sales of passes until after 9:00.

On hold 53 minutes; fortunately I WFH so I can keep the phone on speaker while I work.

I wasn't sure if they told you what might have changed. If it's a new pass, you have to go to guest relations to validate it first before use. That means bringing your photo ID and your DVC membership. Same policy as they had before. Just one extra step. But renewals don't require that because you've already validated your eligibility.

I’ve assigned the passes to family members and entered my credit card info. But now it has been spinning for about an hour since I accepted the terms and clicked on the purchase button. Not sure if I should kill the session or keep watching it spin.
