I skipped going to GS because the line was quite long, and I didn’t want to wait. I tapped in and walked right through. No issues at all. There was a pass holder only line, which I used. The guy in front of me used the wrong finger….”do I need to use the same one every time?” Pass holders should know better, idiot. You mean we can't just cruise through and give them the finger...

In theory, yes, it should move faster because we should all know how to use the tapstiles. Not always true...

I’d know Kona food anywhere. I thought they took the "Big Kahuna" off the breakfast menu! Did you just ask for it? It’s actually been off the menu for quite a few years. They bring it back occasionally, but now they call it a special that’s not printed. I don’t think I’ve ever been denied it. I always ask for it.

Funny thing is I was in a line and people had issues, no AP line at the time (couple years ago at MK). The CM was holding up the entire line for all the people instead of having them stand to the side so we could use one tapstile. Anyway CM was like use another line which of course were loooong. Early entry minutes were ticking away. Couple in front finally got to have the guests put to the side and commented about time remarking how crazy it is how many people don't know what they're doing. They go up to tap in and.... BLUE RING. They sheepishly stood to the side as I tapped in. Even people who know what they do mess up or have issues. I even had blue ring due to another guest (unknown to me) tapping in the tapstile right before I did. Messed up the reading. They wiped it the next time it went blue and never again. But still funny when you think people should know and they don't.

Way to anxious to get into Epcot. Oops. Did the walk of shame back to Guest Relations.

We went in February. My son’s Sorcerer AP needed to be activated. We just walked right into Epcot after going to GS. The CM at GS told me we could just walk right on through and that there was no need to activate at GS anymore. She was right. We had no issues and didn’t have to prove our “worthiness” of being Blue Card Members. We did nothing at GS except get directed to go through the gate.

When I renewed my son’s AP in fall 2022 I was told that he would NOT need to activate his pass at guest relations before entering a park due to a change in how they were managing these tickets. My husband and I already had renewed our APs a few months before that and I asked if we would need to activate ours and they said since ours were renewed before this change went into effect we would need to activate at guest services one more time, but after that we would no longer need to. We did this on our January trip and I am very much looking forward to not needing to do this on future trips! This will be my first time not activating as wel,. My 2022 renewal required it, but not this one. Last year at least it ended mid trip so stopping at GS was easier as we could just go when lines were short. Looking forward to this year! When we activated our passes in 2021, they went through the kids licences and addresses and my mothers information very thoroughly, and. then again last year. I wonder if this was to prepare for easy entry in 2023? Looking forward to not having to stop at guest services

I want to use the park hopper and not activate the AP until a later trip. How does that work when you have multiple ticket media linked?

It did matter before. With date based, I have no idea. I had this problem when magicbands first started and I checked on it. Back then (2013 ) I also checked when I returned to Kidani too. I’m not sure the managers at the resorts can do that anymore. I guess my first call would be to IT for help. Maybe someone else can chime in who may know. The ticket CMs at Springs know a lot too. Probably better to say…some know a lot. Lots of new CMs.

Though the AP had been active prior. It pulled his AP not the ticket (band trip). Ticket was able to be transferred and expiration extended so a friend could use it for June at least. So I'd have it checked before use by GS to make sure the right one is pulled.

So now I am wondering since I have a one day park hopper ticket and now the annual pass in my MDE account which ticket media will be recorded at park entry when I visit in June. I want to use the park hopper and not activate the AP until a later trip. How does that work when you have multiple ticket media linked? There seems to be a way to prioritize multiple tickets on MDE. I found this out while making park reservations, with daily tickets they limit you to 4 or 5 days, when I couldn’t go any further I realized it was using the wrong ticket. Fixed it and was able to make all my reservations. When in doubt stop into GS to have them prioritize your tickets.
