Disney is trying to get every dime they can selling dvc. Gauranteed income and gauranteed guests. Eventually they will sell out everywhere. It doesn't matter how much isn't sold because they just collect cash reservation dollars for those. Great business model to keep the money rolling in.

They even closed Trail's End to make it a larger counter service. What if anything about this screams DVC? Them taking everyone's cash. |

I am worried about the influx of traffic to Wilderness Lodge. At this moment, I am not seeing a table service restaurant proposed. That could really impact dining reservations. Wonder if they will resume the boats going from Fort Wilderness to Contemporary to Wilderness Lodge?

My kids have been discussing this for the last 45 minutes. We started our WDW visits at Ft Wilderness so it’s a very nostalgic for them. Oldest stayed in in a Wilderness Cabin with 6 plus an infant a few years ago and were stuffed in like sardines, 1 bathroom is a deal breaker.
I feel bad for the people who stay here for affordable accommodations for a family. That will be all over.

While we won't be purchasing any points, I wouldn't mind staying in one as long as the points aren't crazy.

If the points charts are lower, I could possibly see my sons family of 5 in there…( see it’s brand new and you have your own little tiny house…..LOL). But Gramma, why you not staying with us? I don't get this at all. There is nothing Deluxe about Fort Wilderness. And there's a zero percent chance they will sell points at a lower price point because it's a moderate resort. This is a mystifying decision.

Those cabins are a loooooong way off from the boat dock. 1-1.5 miles. |

I don't get it either. Nothing about this appeals to me.
Could this be an attempt at an offering that is kind of half way between a studio and a 1BR to try to appeal to all those ppl who are trying to squeeze 5 into a studio?
