Celebration Point is the one we have used previously. Once driving from resort and once using car service that allows one stop. Since you have a car then you are free to roam and pick and choose. I used the online ordering last time as the car service gives you so much time 20-30 minutes as part of the price. Since it was just the two of us, we wanted things we could have sitting on the balcony for our happy hour, shrimp cocktail, cheeses some fruit and a few other things, yes wine, water was needed. I checked the celebration location flyer first and then placed the order using Instacart. It actually worked out well since I’m one who likes to see and walk the aisles in case something is there that I may not need or think of but then buy. Though we did end up with one extra thing when bell services brought our bags up. A huge watermelon! it sat on the counter our whole stay. We gave it and to bell services along with a few other unopened things (I tend to over order) when we left. I don’t think traffic will be two bad at the time you are going. When we drove it was my son and I, I don’t remember highways etc. I think it was 10 minutes from the resorts.

Thanks. Also a good option, but driving directions show freeway, so likely more traffic. We've found the Pubix adequate for what we get, but also like Winn Dixie. Order ahead only works if one has specific things in mind. We figure it out as we go from a basic list Celebration Point Pubix looks like the winner for us.
Cheers. Oof no, don't do that - no way in heck I ever suggest driving I4 unles you need to! You turn onto Buena Vista Dr. and follow it along the hotels at Disney Springs and when it dead ends, make a left turn onto S. Apopka Vineland Rd. It's a really easy route to take and honestly, traffic doesn't seem to affect it time-wise if that makes sense. Well, in reverse since we'd be going from the airport to the grocery and then to the resort. But this helps, thanks.
Cheers.

If choosing this from the airport I suggest the 417S route from MCO to 535/536 exit but then instead of heading towards WDW you go up 535 and to it. But of course choose which you think is best. I have had good experiences there and when someone had accidentally left a bag of yogurt, they noticed immediately, stored it and when I called they said they had it and to come and get it. Just nice people there.

A bit of a thread drift but why I just can’t do Uber/Lyft. I figured going resort to resort to go to dinner would be fine. Wrong. We were at AK Kidani going to the Riviera. He was late seemed confused, then I see we are merging on I4 in prime traffic time backup. I’m like where are you going? Oh you are going to…. I say there is no reason to leave the Disney roads why are we on I4. It was so long that I received a text from Lyft while we were in the car. Asking if I was safe, since the ride was taking longer. To boot that night I receive a up charge for the ride since it was more miles! Obviously I fought it. I don’t know if this guy was trying to play the NY cabbie thing of take the longest route so the meter keeps ticking away, when they think someone doesn’t know there way around

Even all my time taking cabs and stuff in NYC they've never done that. Though I'm sure in this case he was just totally confused. Crazy that he went that way, but good on Lyft for checking in. I'd not want to pay the upcharge though.

I guess I'm going against the Publix grain here, but my wife and I always go to that Winn Dixie as well -- address is 11957 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32836
I have *never* taken the freeway to get there, and my GPS has never suggested such a thing. That seems insane -- it's way too close for that. From what I can tell, it's the closest bona-fide grocery store to the Epcot Area resorts. We've always been happy picking up our provisions there. There is an ABC liquor store in the parking lot as well. I guess I'll have to try that Publix on the other side of I4 sometime.

Here is the drive from OKW. It's 3.7 miles, and 12 minutes. No freeway lol!

I was just looking at a random time on Google maps (since it also lets me specify the destination). At the time, we'd use Waze, but it only goes from current location, so couldn't experiment.
Form what I see, both are about 5.5 miles from Epcot Resorts area. But the Winn Dixie is more on the way from the airport.
We're just gonna Waze both from the airport and see.
Thanks for all the good ideas.
Publix or Winn Dixie should have wine, so we're good on that score.
Cheers.

Cheers. Spending a lot of time in Florida with family as well as Disney I find Waze to be poor at giving good driving directions. We had friends move recently and they were huge Waze fans... until they got to central Florida. Not sure why it sucks in the central regions there. More of an FYI really. That time of day flying in, there is no way I'd do I4 so I'd just follow the 417S exit to WDW. From there decide where to go.

I would just ask my "Smarter Than Me Phone". I live in the area and find Waze better than Google Maps.

I live in Central FL and agree that Waze can give some really stupid directions at times. Locally, I use it more for traffic information unless I'm going somewhere where I'm totally unfamiliar with the area. I would just ask my "Smarter Than Me Phone". I live in the area and find Waze better than Google Maps. Don't recall when, but Google bought Waze. Fortunately, Google has not interfered with development of waze. Google has incorporated some Waze features into Google Maps.

I would still say don’t worry about google, waze or anything else and just cruise up world drive to Reams Road make a right and drive 1.5 miles or so and you are there. There will be about zero traffic as long as you aren’t trying to get there during a run disney event or Christmas Day / New Years Eve.
There is also a couple of decent breakfast places and a good enough Italian place plus if you happen to catch us when we are home a decent wine bar featuring wines of Central California and we could probably figure out some low carbs apps. Just a note the wine bar is often closed and the proprietor is a grumpy old guy so advanced reservations are a must ;-).

All the cool functionality made its way to Google I think, just better mapping out directions IMO in some areas. I would just ask my "Smarter Than Me Phone". I live in the area and find Waze better than Google Maps. Interesting. You're the first I've heard say that. Don't discount your opinion though, just different experiences.

This isn't close to the resort, but if coming from MCO, we almost always stop at the Publix on Landstar Blvd. I believe it's the first or second exit off 417 as you leave the airport headed towards Disney. There's a Walmart Neighborhood Market there too, if that's your thing. We always take 417 to Disney and rarely hit traffic.

Maybe this should be a separate thread, but I'd like to read some thoughts about 528 vs. 417 from MCO to WDW. We've always taken 528 to I-4, and as we all know, traffic on I-4 sucks.
