Oh hey everybody. I didn’t realize this had been resurrected. Glad to see this space exists.

As many here, I have been a member of the "boards" since the year 2000 - give or take. I browsed/read threads way before I registered. I stay pretty neutral with threads, don't comment too much, contribute much there, here or any other board. Many people have usually already posted what I would say or thought and since I can't write as eloquent as others, I would rather keep my mouth shut anyway But not long after joining, it was obvious some are ready to attack another (how many people in studio, sneaking people in a room, in pools, etc. etc.). The banning, some of the moderators........and so on and so on. If one has a few minutes to spare, you can spend it in the Community thread. I still go over there/read/browse/post.

A week ago, I saw a thread that was suspicious - it was deleted a day or two later but another one was created not long after "disappointed". When I first saw this post, I was clueless but knew something was going on (The podcast thread/a thread that I don't usually go to). My son is a podcast listener and listen to the Dis Unplugged. I called him just to say/ask, "I read this thread and I suspect something is going on, have you heard anything on the podcast". He had not and only mentioned the podcast with the studio moving, Pete was tired of the parks, etc. etc.

That same night, I started reading more and more of that original thread and finished the next morning. Of course it grew more and more - this took me to the other site and again, wow - so many pages. I was definitely sad, I felt for Dustin and Sean and shocked at the $900,000 owed to AMEX. I should say, I should not let anything surprise me anymore these days. It's a train wreck.

I am sad for all the victims and hope for the best and a good outcome for the innocent people involved in all this. Nature has me really curious to see how this all plays out now. Trying to stay tuned.

Disboard member since March 10, 2006. I joined there immediately after Robin and I 40th birthday cruise on RCCL. We had a post cruise WDW stay at the Swan & Dolphin, this being only our second trip to WDW. We were walking from the Swan Hotel, over to Epcot and passed the DVC sales model on the Boardwalk. We stopped to check it out and 2 hours later had a contract for SSR. When I got home a few days later, first thing I did was start researching DVC and found the Disboards.

My account is still active there. I have been suspended many times, but somehow never got banned.....even during the 2008 purge. I had many arguments with Webmaster Doc in those early years on the Dis. I found MouseOwners when Greenban, whom I really respected and loved his posts got banned. I did a little searching and found that he had landed there and quickly joined. Those early MO days were slow, but a lot of fun.

Pete is finally getting what he deserves. I would like to say that I'm shocked about what has transpired but, I'm not. Most of us have known what a piece of excrement he is for a couple of decades now. I'm also not shocked to hear about the sexual assaults. Just kind of watching him over the years with the revolving door of young boys and his general creep factor kept me from being surprised of those allegations.
