I saw lots of things implied, but never outright said what was going on, until another thread appeared. But I didn't pay attention until another member, who I chat with on another basis about collectibles, mentioned it to me and I was like, what?!

I'm bookmarked to look more at the TL site. I'm getting through the DIS thread right now. I feel so bad for those affected by him. I've known for like 21 years that he's a fraud. I know he deals with addiction but honestly watching him screw person time after time either financially or emotionally, I have little positive to say other than he created a site that gave me good friends. I kind of hope he crashes and burns but those who really are good don't suffer more than they already have. This probably will be one of my meanest/bitchiest types of posts I will do, but that man is downright awful. I'm only catching up on MO posts today because I've been down the TL rabbit hole since sometime Sat/Sun reading through all the threads and Sean and Justin's horrible experiences and trying to keep up on the Disappointed thread on DISboards (I can't even remember where I heard about the news and TL threads at this point). It breaks my heart to know what Sean and Justin and others have gone through or likely have gone through working for "him" or even just crossing his path for any amount of time. And just when you think it couldn't be worse, more is shared and the entire situation becomes even more horrible.  I have always thought that Pete was a jerk, but had no idea how awful he really is. I agree with a previous poster, it gives me the heebie jeebies to look at him.
I discovered their YouTube channels (the DVC one first) in 2020 during the pandemic once I started seriously looking into whether we should buy into DVC or stay renters. He always gave off a particular vibe (okay, many vibes) but I never would have guessed just what an amazingly horrible human being he truly is. It says absolute volumes about him with current and past employees liking/supporting posts by others who have spoken up and no one who knows him personally speaking up on his behalf. As many here, I have been a member of the "boards" since the year 2000 - give or take. I browsed/read threads way before I registered. I stay pretty neutral with threads, don't comment too much, contribute much there, here or any other board. Many people have usually already posted what I would say or thought and since I can't write as eloquent as others, I would rather keep my mouth shut anyway  But not long after joining, it was obvious some are ready to attack another (how many people in studio, sneaking people in a room, in pools, etc. etc.). The banning, some of the moderators........and so on and so on. If one has a few minutes to spare, you can spend it in the Community thread. I still go over there/read/browse/post. That same night, I started reading more and more of that original thread and finished the next morning. Of course it grew more and more - this took me to the other site and again, wow - so many pages. I was definitely sad, I felt for Dustin and Sean and shocked at the $900,000 owed to AMEX. I should say, I should not let anything surprise me anymore these days. It's a train wreck. I am sad for all the victims and hope for the best and a good outcome for the innocent people involved in all this. Nature has me really curious to see how this all plays out now. Trying to stay tuned. Similar story for me. Joined DISboards in 2001 and I'd wager I'm one of the oldest still "earning my ears" members on the boards, lol. We had learned about this great "DVC rental" option for getting better (and cheaper) accommodations at WDW than their moderates and DISboards is where I made our first ever DVC rental with an owner back in 2002; he has sadly since passed but I remember they had to forego their planned trip so he had extra points because his first granddaughter had either arrived unexpectedly early or was coming soon and around the time of their trip...I remember because we were planning our first trip with our 2yo (who just turned 23 last week  ) so chatted a bit about new additions to the family, etc....he was a great guy and renting from him was a great experience that lead to us renting for the next 20(!!) years anytime we went to WDW. Obviously, I'm not much of a poster there (or even here) but I would read threads for info and/or find someone else had also shared what I would have shared so didn't feel the need to "ditto" a response. I think I gave up bothering to engage when I asked about cabana rentals at DLH and, similar to your mention of attacks, I had several who couldn't provide the info I was seeking but felt the need to remind/inform/whatever me about cabana capacity and how I should rent more than one because I mentioned that we were likely to have different family members stop by briefly (there were 10 of us on that trip) as my mom, sister, and I were at the pool watching the 4 kids have some fun that day. I don't think I asked for info or advice on those boards again after that "fun" discussion.  Disboard member since March 10, 2006. I joined there immediately after Robin and I 40th birthday cruise on RCCL. We had a post cruise WDW stay at the Swan & Dolphin, this being only our second trip to WDW. We were walking from the Swan Hotel, over to Epcot and passed the DVC sales model on the Boardwalk. We stopped to check it out and 2 hours later had a contract for SSR. When I got home a few days later, first thing I did was start researching DVC and found the Disboards. My account is still active there. I have been suspended many times, but somehow never got banned.....even during the 2008 purge. I had many arguments with Webmaster Doc in those early years on the Dis. I found MouseOwners when Greenban, whom I really respected and loved his posts got banned. I did a little searching and found that he had landed there and quickly joined. Those early MO days were slow, but a lot of fun. Good old webmaster doc. what an ass. im guessing he got into it with Pete at some point bc webmaster dick used to be on the dvc podcast shows, but then he suddenly was absent. He also hasn’t posted on the disboards in a while. So he must’ve become persona non-grata. I remember him on a few of the shows, noticed he'd disappeared from the shows and DISboards, and honestly wondered if he'd passed away. As I didn't post much on DISboards nor read much in the last several years (MO info was usually better and the people most definitely friendlier to interact with  ), I wasn't aware of his personality as "webmaster" but sounds like he was a real peach to deal with. I don't remember how I found Mouseowners back in 2016 (?, I think maybe a DVC owner who was on both boards?) but am so glad I did. I love seeing the friendships many of you have here and the civility everyone maintains despite some heated discussions that sometimes occur. I don't know any of you personally (yet) but feel like I have a good sense of many personalities and appreciate all (most, lol?) of them and what they bring to the discussions.   As horrible as the personal accounts are and continue to be as they come forth, I sincerely hope they ultimately bring about significant change for the employees of the DIS brands and Dreams Unlimited so that they never have to worry about such horrid behavior ever again. Unfortunately, I don't see this man going out/down quietly nor taking that hard look in the mirror and getting some serious help to really change himself. I only hope those affected are able to finally find their way to a much happier and better job or can weather the storm and see their workplace become something where the Disney magic isn't instantaneously killed by a horrid work environment. |

Dang, I knew the general history of MO and how it came to be but didn't realize Webmaster Doc was the one to thank for it. And using admin rights to read PMs? WTF, though I can completely see it from the owner based on the newest revelations on the Disappointed thread. Good grief. I personally enjoy thread drift...who has a conversation with a group of people/friends in real life that doesn't drift off into other topics (like this, lol) and then (usually) circle back around to the original conversation. That's usually where I see the personalities come out. |

Rarely that is. I was a Community Board poster mostly and the move to the new Disboards happened the summer before I graduated college. I didn't register until that fall when we decided to honeymoon at WDW in 2000. I had friends who were DVC members who got me my info. We bought DVC in 2004 with the help of my friends more than anything. The DVC info didn't really help me as much as talking and then reading a binder DVC gave my friend with info. Even a few years before 2008 when I got the permaban with my well known username (no rules broken mind you) I was over the rabbid posters. Like OMG everything at Disney was AWESOME! The early days were great though. I finally ducked out after my kid grew into toddlerhood but to remain kinda unknown I went by Jean (a form of my middle name) and my kid also went by his middle name if talking. I shied away from DVC talk then for kinda obvious reasons. Looking at my usernames I see I got booted weeks before my son's first trip. You don't mess with new moms. I forgot I was asked by a friend to post under Tron AP previews news with the lesser known name, but remained quiet from 2010 until that single helping post. |

I just did about an hour ago. It’s truly horrible. Add financial and sexual blackmail to the litany of allegations. The guy is a predatory monster based on the couple of pages I read.
But one of the part owners of the DIS has just posted that Changes are coming and he hopes for an announcement very soon.

They needed to say something even if it is, we're making changes or legally we cannot say much. Ignoring it while at DLR wasn't a wise option for some. Very tone deaf at best. I knew the guy was a fraud and an asshole. I had no idea to this level, though I cannot say I'm shocked. Just sickened it happened and people kept kissing up to him for so long while employees legit were traumatized. Cameras in the bathroom.... that's just disgusting and wonder how many more victims there are. |

I’ve discovered new information today. If you read my story, you know that I was incredibly drunk in Hawaii and awakened to Pete performing oral sex on me.
I’ve just been told that Pete admitted that I was drugged by him. He slipped something into my drinks that night. The following morning I felt incredibly hung over and intense shame and guilt. I’ve searched my memories and feelings. And while I don’t not remember this happening. It makes absolute sense and is more than within the realm of possibility.
Pete was just starting a relapse and had countless prescription drugs anyways. I do not know what he put in my drink. But I know now why I had even less control than normal.
This was not the only time. I’ve been told that the first several times we were physical, I was drugged. This was done so that I could not say I wanted out. If I tried to say I wasn’t into it… Pete could point back to handfuls of times that I “was into it.”
This is how he created a relationship with a straight man (in addition to every other horrible thing in my story.)
This information is new and raw. I’m still processing it. I cried when I heard it. But I’m going to be ok. I never want anything like this to ever happen to anyone ever again!

Was just about to post that. Good riddance! I started watching the DIS youtube channels in 2017, after looking for a review of the restaurant in Mexico, and found them. Really enjoyed Oliver,, and most of what Ryno, and Craig added, but I mostly watched for the non Disney content. Until recently, it was very hard to find info on Universal and elsewhere. Over the years, watched new guys be added to shows, all hyped up for a few months, then all of a sudden, they were gone, and nobody said much of anything.. I wondered what kind of place was he running where one week he was gushing over someone new on the show, then poof, gone, with no explanation. Now we are learning, just how horrible and repulsive he really is, and how just dreadful of a work environment it must've been for so many people. I do still like a lot of what Deni Sunderly puts out on her channel. Glad she got out. joined the forums in 2018, took a while to post, but I mostly hang out/ post a lot in the Universal threads, theme park plans, and often silly stuff in the Community board (yeah, I'm one of those who does the daily poll, and adds to the songs threads....), and also enjoy discussing Star Wars series. |

I’ve been following this horrid situation since this past weekend. Best news is that Pete has resigned and and will be divesting ownership of each part of the business. I pray for all of the employees that he caused pain. Always believed Pete was a jerk, but never thought it went this far.

Glad he's being removed. That was the only correct answer in this all. Seeing Dustin's update was so awful to read - I didn't know it could get much worse after the bathroom camera outing, but it did. My heart goes out to everyone harmed by this horrible being.

Wow! I joined Disboards back in 2009 because I needed a member referral for a VGC discount. However I wasn’t active on it and somehow stumbled upon MO, which I found easier to use.
I have enjoyed a lot of content on the DIS YouTube channels, even some of Pete’s curmudgeonly moments despite his annoying tendency to always repeat himself. I got a sense from more recent turnover and Pete’s absence that things have been off but even before that it seemed pretty clear that he screws over his employees and business partners.
A few years ago he launched a Moving to the Magic real estate community and agency. It then appeared that Pete got his own Realtor license then forced his partner out.
I knew he was a jerk but these additional allegations are horrid. He had some good content creators so I hope they will be okay.
