Being a Poly owner I really want it to remain part of the Poly. So here is to fingers crossed those who believe it will be, is correct. I really do not need more points, I’ve already have swapped out (sold) contracts that to me were of lessor use when I wanted to add on certain resorts.

PVB is very point heavy and has a ton of studios which helps that. I do believe it will be similar (or higher) points to VGF which might keep some away. VGF is a very small resort so harder to book than some. I am hopeful it will be easier to book at PVB. Though unlike you I do not want a separate association as I have points at PVB originally. Good news though if it is not a separate association, PVB did sell fixed weeks. Well I don’t really care if it’s a new association or not. It’s just the resale prices for Poly have not come down nearly what they should ( sans a really large contract). So waiting now to see what ultimately happens. What happened at VGF is Disney actually downgraded owners who originally purchased at the DVC building by creating competition with the new resort studios. Since DVC elected to keep the points chart the same, it created competition for the deluxe studios. I don’t see that happening at Poly1. And it’s great to hear it is easily booked by current owners. Yes, if it’s the same association, it should open back up the ability to sell FW at Poly1. Hope we get some news soon!!! Since the new build was announced I noticed more PVB resales don't last as long as they used to. For VGF it's a mixed bag. Studios were so hard to book there so they did need more. I am unsure how it affects the 1 and 2 bedroom dwellers. We don't like VGF at all so I never pay attention. I'm honestly incredibly annoyed with Disney and while I say I am buying more PVB I actually question myself on it. I'm certainly not keeping OKW if I do at this point if new. I doubt we'll hear until 2024 what happens. My guide knows to call me though.

I doubt we'll hear until 2024 what happens. My guide knows to call me though. Interesting, about resales moving quicker. Though that is taking a chance if it ends up being a new DVC, which I’m hoping it is not. I know I will be tempted if it is a new DVC. I just really don’t need or want more points. When I bought Poly, 125 pt add on, I sold a 50 SSR and the 70 VB. So I broke even point wise, 5 more than before. Then Cooper Creek just fascinated me and did another. I still had a 100 pt SSR, that I was going to sell to counter the 125 CCV add on. Husband said, no keep it🙃. When DVC starting scooping up BWV and sent out incentives…. There I went again. Sometimes I just shoot from the hip and think later, as you may be aware(🙁my apologizes). But this time the 100 SSR was going. So now I’m left with OKW and I know that is like the red headed step daughter amongst some but I still enjoy, and it’s been our home since 97. I don’t think I would be able to sell it. Call it sentimental reasons, when my parents were alive we would go the beginning of Xmas. My kids were young (son an infant). To many memories. Logically, I know as organizers say you can’t keep every keepsake, that holding on for sentimental reasons is not a good reason, but as I said we do enjoy it there. It will always be our first home, though I always considered Poly home before DVC. I do have two OKW, the first being the major and then the add on my father bought but had in my name. So I’m just hoping no need to worry Poly new built will be part of Poly DVC and all will be good. What came across my mind today sitting on the beach. Do the powers already know if it will be a new DVC? If so why not start advertising to stir interest? Or is it a TBD or they want the option to change their mind, as in leaning towards new. Then being advised no you will be better off keeping it as part of the original. I would think they have a plan….. My guide called me a few months back, just to see how we were doing. AKA really to see if I had interest in the new CA DVC, no. Of course I asked knowing they don’t know. Maybe a test of his honesty, because unlike some who are reporting, it will, it won’t from guides. He said he was just on a DCL cruise and asked, he has no clue as they are not told anything. So hopefully when he does have info, he will contact me as he knows we own there, we have interest in the Poly. Like sand through a hour glass, haha we will just have to wait.

I ran the numbers today with both resale and probable direct prices. VGF is getting a price increase soon. I just have a feeling the new Poly2 will open at $225/pt. I just am having a hard time swallowing that price considering what I will need to buy (130-150 pts). Was perusing resale PVB today, made a couple of low offers. Haven’t heard back yet. But as Elaine said, not many on the market. At this point, it is a want not a need. But of course once the particulars on Poly2 are announced, it will quickly become a need ..LOL.

Yes...they know. Not the guides, but those above know. Disney does not go into building things without a start-to-end game plan.
It will be part of the same association just like VGF. It makes zero sense to create a second association at the Poly. The gap in years is not huge like Boulder Ridge/Copper Creek. Look at Aulani and how long those sales h have been going.

Ha....I remember when BLT prices were announced and said no way.......i bought. VGF came out a few years later, i bought again. Then skip a few more years, then DVC built Riviera with restrictions.....I said they were crazy. A year later, I bought three contracts.....lol. I remember when SSR broke $100 pp and people lost thier collective minds.

The busiest weeks at WDW 1. Christmas-NYE 2. Easter (but it floats) 3. July 4th 4. Thanksgiving For a fixed week studio purchase, The Disney Marathon weekend for Studios is very popular. Princess Marathon weekend is also getting very popular. Presidents Day weekend is mixed, same as Jersey week. Both are popular, but not all states give students a longer break off to make it a top 5 week. Spring Break is also really busy, but varies each year because of when Easter occurs. What about the first two weeks of December if we’re talking about DVC? I thought it was more like this: 1. 1st week Dc 2. Christmas to NY week 3. 2nd week in Dec

But I already own the second week of Dec at CCV. Was looking at another time frame. We always go in September and May with occasional trips that second week of December. The points chart at CCV made it any easy FW purchase. Poly2 will be much more expensive.

Didn't vote as we would never go during a popular week. Going the Tuesday after Labor day was fabulous. 5-minites wait on RotR? Really? Cheers.

I know they know. Granted they can change their minds but they know. A year ago June they had mock ups of rooms. Just happened to meet Josh D'Amaro at MK and talked about it. He just said as an owner and lover of PVB I probably will be very happy. I agree it makes zero sense to put it separately like CCV and BRV. The age was a determining factor there which I understand. VGF gave us the greenlight to know that PVB absolutely was likely going to be same. They also have given clues throughout this time. Guides cannot say but they were hinted too early on what the plan was. It can all change, but I'm ready either way. I hate Disney for making me want more points but it will be us splitting CCV and PVB time with spring break wherever we want. If they stupidly change and make it separate, I will likely be in a frustrated state of mind and sell OKW. Not that OKW is bad, but I just have little need there now and will take the hint to downsize likely. I'll probably stupidly buy direct because my originals were (bought early on for each 3 contracts and numbers ran in my favor at the time with closing costs being so low) but will look at resales too. Probably only doing 100 points or less to add on.

My resales bids are low. I go in waiting for a counter and so far no counters this go round. If I have to go direct, I too will probably only buy 100-110 pts. It’s got to be really worth it to go resale.
Hey no apologies or stupidity here. It’s all Disney’s fault ! LOL. And we are not promised tomorrow…..

This thread made me look at PVB resales. Used that site that compiles them all. Only 68 total were found. Larger contracts seemed to be on the market a few months or more. One really high priced 100pt contract, but they are still the same price as they were early last year when I was looking for WL. They really haven't dropped much. Only 11 total in my June UY too. The 130pt June UY for $155 per point is kinda tempting though....

What about the first two weeks of December if we’re talking about DVC? I thought it was more like this: 1. 1st week Dc 2. Christmas to NY week 3. 2nd week in Dec Nope.....#1 and #3 are wrong. This only applies to Wilderness Lodge for a abnormal demand.
Christmas-NYE is the absolute #1 demand week in WDW. I go ever year since 2005, not other week compares to it.

Since I am not retired (you lucky bastard), I still have to schedule around most holidays to maximize my vacations. The only Holiday that we have not traveled to WDW is Thanksgiving week. Robin and I host Thanksgiving dinner for the entire extended family. My grandparents always hosted dinner. After my grandmother died, my grandfather kept up the tradition until he turned 85 and the task became too much and out grow his tiny home, with the family continuously growing. That was 18 years ago, Robin and I have been hosting dinner every year since, except for two.....one was an utter disaster and the second was after Robin's accident. It looks like this year we will have 25-30 guests for Thanksgiving.
We were there Labor Day weekend, leaving just prior to your arrival. The wait times were amazingly low. We walked by Peter Pans flight in the afternoon and the ride was almost a walk-on. That never happens.

The question was about DVC booking though Tom., which is what I was responding to. I’m not disagreeing about WDW being busy.
