We did the soft opening yesterday. Got to Epcot after 3 and got in the VQ right after tapping in. Took maybe 2 hours to be called back. We rode a couple rides and did some shopping in between. Line was super long when we arrived and walked by it, but was short by the time we were called back. Very well done. Wish it was around when my kid was little. Such lovely details and fun for kids. It was like you were in an Oasis in the park. I was glad to see Edu-tainment back.

I really couldn't help but think of how well done it was! How like a little oasis it was in the middle of Future World. Really didn't expect much though. After the ladies left, I did duck in today to Epcot before I flew home (I wasn't sure how long I'd be there tbh so made little plans) to do one more ride on the real Soarin' and saw the lines were insane for it today. I wonder what it will be like at opening. I cannot wait to explore more - so much to see.

I call it like I see it Another member of the Anti-crooked CGI Soarin'!!
Very silly, but I do miss pretending to catch Eisner's golf ball.

Not sure why the focus on he crooked Tower. Even if that were a real image, and not CGI, seats on the side would experience parallax. It's scene choice, really, rather than the CGI that is the crookedness contributor.
With that said, the scene choices are just so much better in real Soarin'
Cheers.

Yep all about scene choice and angles. You can see a hint of bend if on the far edges at the bottom of the golden gate bridge. I went looking for bends one of my times this weekend.
But something that struck me was how they have very similar types of scenes at times. Like they lacked creativity. But I digress
