This is awesome. Been missing these for a long time (3.5 years, approximately)! I've even sent in a few guest services e-mails asking for them to be restored!
I wonder if we'll get the ferry from MK <-> Contemporary back now, too?

Will the “larger” boat that can take EVCs go from the lodge to the Contemporary? Can’t remember—it’s been so long.
Hubby loves breakfast at Steakhouse 71. A morning boat ride would be great.

I cannot remember that either if it happens. Plus it's been so long we'd have to wait and see I think. I know I've been on a big boat going to Ft Wilderness and then WL, but I cannot recall if that was a MK boat. My memory thinks it's small boats only but can be totally wrong. This is awesome. I have only frequented CR since BLT opened but there was never a MK boat in that timeframe. By the time you walk to that dock, you'd be halfway to MK anyway (only kinda joking, it's a long walk to dock end). I don't see it coming up in googling either. |

Wonderful news! Those small water launches are my absolute favorite method of transportation!!!
As far back as I can remember, they have not had the larger boats on the 3 resort circuit. There are certainly times when there has been one for some odd reason, but never as a standard option.

Ferry from MK to Contemporary? I don’t remember that. That is weird. I wonder why I thought there used to be one of those. I thought I remembered boats to the other bay lake resorts boarded on one side of the dock, and boats to MK boarded on the other side of the dock. They had different colored flags. Ok I'm going to have to do some research to see what I'm mis-remembering....  |

Whenever I’ve stayed there it was simply which way round Bay Lake the boats wee going, lock wise or counter clockwise. |

Ok I'm going to have to do some research to see what I'm mis-remembering.... That's how it is at WL with the left side goes to MK and right goes to the resorts with different flag colors. At CR in 2019, they also had some of the pirates (or whatever kids cruise) it was go out of one side and the others were for the resorts. But definitely none for MK. Thinking back on this, I'm more convinced that only the small boats make the loop, and not the larger ECV capable ones the vast majority of the time. |
