Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Reopening October 13
If you have not been lately, I highly recommend going. The menu is improved and the food is so good!

Thanks. We go in November, so this may be worth a visit. or maybe we'll wait for our May trip that we're trying to move to VGF at 7 months. Kinda convenient there  Cheers. |

I figured someone would remember my pas statements. I had also said, at one point, that we don't need more than a studio and 1BR are not needed. We try not to opt for non-1BR unless we do an extra trip and are short points.
Others had pointed out that things change over time and, when I posted, we had not yet reached that point. I agreed that it likely did for some, but wouldn't for us. Well, we see how correct I was. I also have a feeling that people with kids who have more transitions like this earlier in life are wiser in the "it will happen to you" area than I was.
When visiting there again, the main lobby just seemed so nice for hanging out. And, as we spend afternoons outside the park, I could see bringing a thermos of coffee and sitting reading a Kindle for a while.
We're still pretty much all BCV/BWV, and I think always will be. But VGF called. And this is a current BCV that I'm trying to change (our check-in date is 7 months from today). Out first day was gone even as of yesterday, so folks checking in earlier, and is still gone with other nights remaining. So I put in a waitlist for the whole thing. We'll do our BCV stay if it doesn't come through.
We had to cut a night due to the higher points cost, and will stay at the airport Hyatt on arrival if we get this.
You beat me to the reaction! Not BWV Bruce?!? Maybe looking for a further walk to the International Gateway? OK, this made me laugh because we will look at this as a positive. IG to GF (or MK) via a monorail to TTC and walking the rest of the way is something we like to do. Now we get to do it in reverse.

Put a waitlist in for preferred view to save some points, and it came through rather quickly for a 2 bed standard. We're actually going to be sweating out a BWV stay. Due to the renovations, the bookings seem tighter there than anywhere else on property right now for 2 bedrooms. I rarely walk but the guys seem pretty set on it, so I might try a walk for a few days at some point. Unsure. We do like to try all resorts but do have favorites. We'll have our RR stay in March and finally get all resorts in for everyone in the family. We have opted to not go forward with that though with the cabins. |

While the location is not as good as BWV.BCV (can only walk to one park, after all), it is otherwise lovely...and different.

Oh, I know. We've done that walk a number of times. Even before it was connected, we walked to both ends of the break - from GF and from MK one day just to do it. Very familiar with that walk as well as the walk from TTC (with, and without) construction. We've seen various stages of the new Poly work on that walk.
