Hello! What is the speculation on when points can be used to book? Sorry if I’ve missed it in the thread. Unknown.....DVC is keeping it under wraps. I do expect an announcement very soon. |

Last rumor I heard from a reliable source was October. I hope we actually get something before then because that is just pathetically short of amount of time |

They know they will book up no matter when they release, so likely not in a hurry.

I'm just waffling on the idea of booking something for our summer trip or just waiting. 7 month mark for our trip will probably be end of Oct or early Nov depending on dates. |

I'm just waffling on the idea of booking something for our summer trip or just waiting. 7 month mark for our trip will probably be end of Oct or early Nov depending on dates. That is where I am at. Just hoping they open bookings in time before my 7 month window hits. I am going in January for RunDisney and February because my daughter has a soccer tournament at the ESPN WWoS. I gave up on staying in the Poly Tower for those, but it would be nice to stay there in June when our whole family goes right after school is out. Like others have said, I am SO glad I have points at Poly. I bought about 2/3 direct and 1/3 resale and almost all at Poly with one GF contract. Could not be happier how this is working out! I have said it on here before - my family of 6 LOVES Poly but its not exactly convenient to either have to book 2 studios or an expensive Bungalow. We love the 2 bedroom suites at BLT, GFV, BWV, etc. Can't wait until we can get a similar room at Poly! |

I think it will be a few years before we try for the Poly tower as I've my eye on another high point venue.

I did just add on again this spring with resale points. I did that after it was very much confirmed that Polynesian was going to be the same as association. I actually lost a contract to ROFR because the points were getting really low in sale at that point. My bigger annoyance is that I have this feeling Southwest is going to release the end of May and early June dates for flying before I get point charts. We love the Polynesian as well and mostly have used it in recent years for Studio stays when it is just one or two of us. We have done the Bungalows as well, but that is a lot of points. I love that the one bedrooms will have two bathrooms as well so we can actually could do a one-bedroom for the three of us no problem. But having the option for two bedrooms is great as well. We do have a March trip planned at the longhouses with just me and my kid. I will probably keep those rooms simply because we want the second shower for us. Otherwise we could try and swap to the Tower, but we'll just stay there in the summer. |
