Having read some discussion on this, I think the talk about it being table service might stem from the plans that say “TSR RR MEN” and “TSR RR WOMEN”.

Having read some discussion on this, I think the talk about it being table service might stem from the plans that say “TSR RR MEN” and “TSR RR WOMEN”. The site I got info from was a private FB group for Polynesian lovers which is why I cannot link. According to the author it was labeled. As is the fitness area. So is the outdoor beverage refill area near the pool. The garden pocket viewing area was named as well. The plans were very revealing in a good way. I haven't had time to look elsewhere to see what others are saying but this group is on it for PVR news as a whole. One of the authors for DVC News who is always posting about PVB is there. So good inside info.

I'm finding some info that I know you saw. For the record Geyser Point is not QS. They removed it from the QS dining plan this year. It's officially just casual and uses a TS credit. I think they realized it is not QS like at all and changed it. So no longer hybrid or even QS. Not labeled as a lounge either. Like Kona Cafe it has a to go option but it is not QS either for that. Some were giving very outdated info.

I’d be OK if you do, we didn’t have a long wait but I know some who had to wait around an hour before they could order food to sit in.

At least when we stay there we are fine with to go and sitting at other tables near by or going back to our room.

New update from one of my Polynesian sites. I'm very disappointed they are opting for a gym over a CH. Therey need one for both VGF and PVB: What does CH stand for?

Wow, so they are going with the gym at the new poly tower. Agree they need a community hall for both VGF and PVB. The only problem is the VGF gym is already crowded without the addition of the tower, it probably could not handle the addition. But both resorts lack the CH, which is so loved at the other resorts. I too am sad over the lack of the CH

Community Hall We use them all the time. Wow, so they are going with the gym at the new poly tower. Agree they need a community hall for both VGF and PVB. The only problem is the VGF gym is already crowded without the addition of the tower, it probably could not handle the addition. But both resorts lack the CH, which is so loved at the other resorts. I too am sad over the lack of the CH I had just stopped in the gym last year. Maybe I went at a lower time but it wasn't crowded. But if it regularly is then I see a need. I've heard mixed on it so unsure what reality is. I am hopeful there will be space in the lobby area at least since it's not slated to be a full use lobby like at the GCH.

Gym crowdedness probably does vary based on the time of day. If I had to choose between shared community hall and continue with shared gym or each gets their own gym but no community hall, I would choose the former.

There is definitely an indoor/outdoor table service restaurant on the first floor.
I am only expecting an enhanced quick service, similar to Riviera's Primo Piatto, with bar service to the pool too. By enhanced I mean it has a built-in coffee bar/pastry, grab & go, alcohol.
The Riviera setup is exactly how I think it will be. Bar Riva gives you a sort of table service (like Geyser Point) but also serves the pool.
I can see the restaurant being kind of its own level. I do think it'll be more casual than most. Moderately priced items (thinking Geyser Point, Grand Floridian Café, Olivia's, Kona etc) and a to go option. But we'll hopefully see soon.
