I am only expecting an enhanced quick service, similar to Riviera's Primo Piatto, with bar service to the pool too. By enhanced I mean it has a built-in coffee bar/pastry, grab & go, alcohol.
I can see the restaurant being kind of its own level. I do think it'll be more casual than most. Moderately priced items (thinking Geyser Point, Grand Floridian Café, Olivia's, Kona etc) and a to go option. But we'll hopefully see soon. I saw that earlier. The TSR means Table Service Restaurant. Has stroller parking too and one single entrance point with a host/hostess podium. Photos from D23 look lovely. ONLY 4 - 1 bedrooms?? Did I read that correctly???!!! I have not seen that reported anywhere. There was a floor plan that showed 4 1 bedrooms but it was a slice of info from nearly a year ago.

If only the restaurant was closer to the top of the building instead. Oh well, I’ll still be visiting for sure.

I don't have anything booked until March next year at PVB (mid week for 3 nights lake view, so Moorea) but we plan for a tower stay in May/June. I do wonder if this will be more like guys are point though where it is considered table service now, but there are no reservations available.

Below is a copy/paste from an email I received.
The Island Tower addition is new developer inventory at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and is under construction, projected to open December 17, 2024. Membership requires purchasing a deeded ownership interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort, typically priced at $23,500 to $60,100 (subject to change). That’s quite a wide range of prices. I’m guessing it’s covering the cost of 150 points at any existing resort.

Just like Primo Piatto, there will be coffee bar and bakery items.
Found this too....
The new Wailulu Bar & Grill—located within the addition—evokes the natural beauty of the islands, from banquette seating surrounded by flowing water to a lava rock-inspired bar overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon. It also offers breathtaking views of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom park. Enjoy an on-the-go breakfast and an all-day lunch and dinner menu, plus a walk-up pool bar and grill.

Something else I found interesting.......
The newly-dubbed Cove Pool is also set to include a sand beach and whirlpool spa. Cove Pool joines the Lava Pool--with its 142 foot water slide--and Oasis Pool, all three of which are available to guests at the Polynesian resort.

We have been to, and like, both of these. so this sounds very nice. We will definitely have to stop by on a walk from TTC to MK in the future.
Cheers.

I'm reading it's going to be more like Geyser Point and be an official table service with quick to go in the morning like Sanaa has. But it's going to be a casual dining area with the bar attached and the patio out there if you need. I love Primo, but everything is pointing to table service. I have not done Bar Riva to know what it is like there. I will say the info I'm getting is from some real good DVC people who know their stuff. They could be wrong, but I really don't think this is going to be a quick service like we're seeing at Primo - though Primo is a step above. That's why I'm saying guys are too, because that is table service now and it is also to go options like many of the other table service has. It just won't be a super fancy table service. A ton of information was released today. Some of it I already shared here. I am not surprised by the name Cove pool as somehow I thought it was going to be called that anyway. But that may have been someone else suggesting it in a different location. One thing we don't have is sale date or point charts. Rumor is October and that is starting to really tick me off. Rumor also has it that big Garden nooks in the tower will be for the tower guests only. That they will be accessible only by Magic bands. Makes me wonder how accessible the rest of the resort will be too. I remember a time when Bay Lake was kind of hard to get into unless you were staying there.

All of this info is great! I am saddened by the probability of Geyser point being turned into a table service venue. So much for the best kept secret!
I agree with Tom, minimum dropped to 100 pt contracts at $235/pt. The question is will there be incentives?

I booked two nights at cabins at Fort Wilderness October 1 & 2. Sometime that trip, I'll visit Poly to check out the construction.
Those pocket gardens look great. I assume they will be for tower guests only and likely crazy crowded during fireworks times. That could easily be enough for me to add a night on some future trip at a tower room, just to check them out (if I'm right about them being for tower guests only - - just a guess, could very easily be wrong).

GP was just turned into TS for dining plan. It needed to be IMO. The ADR thing is still a rumor. I see good and bad to that. I hope the new PVB grill is not ADR as well. Keep people away from parking there.
The pocket gardens sound to be guests only which I hope holds too.
I am not sure they need to drop to 100 points but I do think cost will be high.
Still need point charts darn it. We're at a lake view for me and kid in March. Hopefully didn't suck up too many needed points there.
