I so agree on the prices being so high. I was so looking forward to going being my family and I will be staying at the BW and BC in January. So so disappointed. I guess we can just look in

I had your same thoughts originally. I have been to the Bakery early morn ,about a week ago , for breakfast hours before going into EPCOT for the day . The prices are high but they did mention a DVC discount for early lunch only . I need to return to double-check this and will report back . In the meantime , I have been checking posted menus and/or prices as I have been to Disney Springs and MK . I am shocked at how expensive prices are and starting to rethink my criticism of the Cake Bake pricing. Especially when I factor in the beauty and detail for this new dining experience. ( For example a hamburger with fries at the Plaza Inn on Main Street Halloween Day would cost $26 and the turkey club sandwich was $20. Also consider Cake Bake will accept guests for the Bakery walk in and dine out front without paying a tip .
For your trip,I suggest you plan ahead and check out the times . I just checked and the day I was interested in the hours are 7am - 11pm . Also study the menu beforehand . Everything seems so fancy and overwhelming …it would be easy to over-indulge over-spend . !!! The early morn I walked over, I noticed the dining room window looked like a lot of availability and the Bakery only had a few guests in line . But I guarantee it is so pretty inside, you will want to return in the night hours to see those chandeliers . I hope you will report back . Staying at the BoardWalk & Beach Club How can you resist ?

I've looked at a couple of postings on Facebook. The place does look very nice, upscale, and frilly. The posters said the food was great. Of course, these people are probably paid influencers so I would expect them to say it was wonderful. I did read one account where they claimed management was not happy with the turnout for the first few days. That the turnout was way below expectations. Take all of this with a grain of salt.

Having walked by several times, I can confirm that the place looks fabulous inside. So that part, at least, is true
Cheers.

I've seen a lot of rave reviews but at the same time they're the ones who rave review everything. I've send some that say certain items are definitely way better than others. I read one review about freezer burn taste on the cake so they assume the cakes are not really fresh now. I also know people who do the one in Indianapolis and the food reviews have decreased over time. Most everyone says it's beautiful so there is that. I know more locally they go for the experience more than the food.

If they are frozen I won't bother. If I want a frozen cake, I can go to the grocery store LOL. I found it interesting that it was stated that way by one. Another said some of the cakes were dry but others moist. So inconsistent? I'm an ice cream gal over a cake person anyway. As I said it's not my vibe much at all, so it's kind of a turn off for me, but I know others will adore it! I'll be sitting in my laid back rooms instead ha ha ha

My favorite snack on the Boardwalk is the peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie at the Screen Door. They're about $3.00. I don't care how good any piece of cake is, I'm sticking with that cookie. They used to have the best snickerdoodles, but they've been gone for a few years. They have the same cookie at the Big Top in Fantasyland and in a shop in AK near the safari exit.

They do have some really good cookies there! We bought those PB chocolate chunk to heat up and put ice cream on top which was really good. I think they were $4 prior to discount this summer. Contemporary's Bayview Gifts (BVG on the sign) has good ones too. We always go over there and pick one up while staying in the MK area. The ones there are a bit bigger and fluffier last time I was there and I think they're a bit more, but it's been since last year since we've been.

Where are the regular cheese burgers and hot dog's on the BW? I'm going to miss the cart that had them on the BW.

They have the new corn dog stand, but if you're looking for a hot dog on a bun, I don't know where you can get one. I'm thinking maybe the pool bar; they used to have a hot dog on a pretzel bun. For a burger, you'd have to go to Ale and Compass at the YC.

It was closed for a while and now has been reopened, but dumbed down, unfortunately.
Cheers.

It's pretty good for poolside food. disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/boardwalk/leaping-horse-libations/menus
