What's the over/under on this lasting more than 2 years? I was just gonna post an over/under until I saw yours. I was gonna give it a year, though
Cheers.

I'm giving it more than a year but less than two. I figure there's always a couple of month honeymoon period, then it's OK to do poorly and lose money initially as it is in the name of marketing and building a customer base. I think that will get them through the first year.

Cheers.

True......Except for those prices, there better be a princess walking around to each table. Otherwise, its just a fancy and expensive cake place. The prices in Indy are just as bad now. It's super popular. It's something *I* don't understand but even some of my friends who do Disney are excited for this. And we live like 2-2.5 hours from the other one that they adore. It's like the American Girl Doll lunch craze that went on. Again, I don't get it, but I'm not discounting this. Dropping the prices to be more in line with Indy costs will help people want to do a frilly lunch or meal. Especially since afternoon tea is not available. Some people want that frilly bougie experience. Not my cup of tea (yes intentional) but people like what they like. It is obviously popular enough in Indy that they expanded to WDW. Is anyone here familiar with Indy? There are two locations there. I'm guessing both are located in posh locations within the city, like the Beverly Hills of Indianapolis. Does that have the same appeal at WDW, particularly at the Boardwalk? There are lots of people who could easily afford it. Are there enough extravagant people to support it long term? Plus, in a city, it can become the "go to" place for something over the top or for bridal showers, weddings, baby showers, birthdays, etc. I don't know that translates to WDW.

Carmel is more upscale of an area of Indy. Carnel is one of the wealthiest locations within the area. I am not familiar with the other location. I would assume similar. I used to Iny trips far more often than now but now people in Carmel. In fact I knew someone who moved to Carmel due to how similar it was to the more wealthy city they came from here. They are constantly busy in Indiana at both locations though. Considering people are dying to do the tea, this will be a fill in. I think still better at a different location, but it is what it is. A lot of people do use Disney for special events so I could see it translating well enough.

I give it 3-5 years, which is a good run. The service will make or break it. If it’s great service, it will be popular and profitable. They are still lining up at Gideons and I did not like their cookies or cake. 1 and done! Not requiring park admission to dine there is a plus and BW is a great atmosphere for a after-cake stroll!🤣.

SOP - Standard Operating Procedure to put in something that may not fit and jack up prices.
We head for BWV on Monday. I will certainly wander about this place and see what it looks like. Sure as hell ain't buying 20 buck cake...unless that's the whole thing.
It was fun watching it get built over time.
Cheers.
