We put up all nine of our contracts in December and have only sold one so far. Originally, they had all '21 points banked. We pulled most of those and are using them for a May Aulani stay. Then, we got the offer on the one contract. Of the 9, 6 are small point contracts. We sill keep them out there hoping that Iger can make changing to offset inflation flattening travel. This is a perfect example of how the resale market has changed. Usually, those small contracts move fast, regardless of resort. If Iger can institute a new program or benefit to owning DVC, then we should see a turn around in the resale market. What would be some good examples? 1. Discounted tickets for DVC owners not tied to annual passes. 2. Food discounts similar to Tables in Wonderland but only for DVC owners. 3. Bring back the meet and greets with complimentary food and alcohol. I am sure there are lots I am leaving out. But let’s get some perks directed to DVC owners exclusively.

I think downward pressure must already be in place.
Just went to resalesdvc.com to check what Jaki and Kenn may have listed for VGF ..
There are two 50 pointers with all current year points listed at $175 per point.
There is a 100 Pointer with 200 (100 banked from 2022) for sale for $180 per point.

If Iger can institute a new program or benefit to owning DVC, Is there talk of something happening?

Agree they need to bring back some DVC ticket/AP perks. Looking at my spreadsheet, looks like we were last at WDW 4 years ago where we managed to squeeze 3 trips onto an AP. I believe it was top tier pass with no black outs and included water parks and more which was sold at a DVC special price of $499!
Maybe after Epic Universal opens we'll start seeing some perks again.

Maybe after Epic Universal opens we'll start seeing some perks again. My hope as well. Hell maybe it'll even be desirable enough to persuade me to visit, ha... Regardless, worthy competition here would definitely be helpful.

Some of both. Kids are older and I am fed up of woke Disney. Using the proceeds as part of the payment of a retirement home in Costa Rica. I delayed putting them on the market since my sister asked to go to WDW in Oct last year. Her triplets were performing.

I was watching House Hunters International and the people were viewing a Costa Rican house with fruit bats attached to the outside. Regardless, that would've been a 'no' for me. It's like viewing a house with mouse droppings.

I have a friend who bought a small hotel down in CR as a Covid work remote play. CR looks beautiful. Our kids are getting close to college and are both still WDW nuts so I fully hope/expect we'll be like TomandRobin who went from taking their kids to taking their grandkids. We're probably 10-15 yrs from retirement and look fwd to brp trips once we're empty nesters.

Being old has its advantages. mrs. brp is retired. 37 working days, or fewer, for me. brp trips can be crazy, though. I retire no later than end of March, then April looks like:
March 30 - April 1 Vegas April 4-9 NYC April 10-11 possible SFO overnight, although the concert we want to see may be impossible to get tickets April 17-18 Napa (Need to use up a free hotel night)
April 20-24 Destin Beach., FL (music festival) April 27 - May 8 New Orleans (Jazz Fest)
This ain't for the faint of heart
I had thought about taking grandkids to Disney. I found that having kids is a prerequisite. That, or things that are frowned upn by law enforcement. It'll just have to be us.
Cheers.

Inflation catching up to people? I have a pension with a 3% cola every year but I can tell the difference in my buying power since I retired in 2009. The cost of everything is going up rapidly and it's affecting people's disposable income. Everything except TV's. strange that those are cheaper and larger in size. but by no means does it make up for everything else increasing. just stands out as strange.
