Fun thread and my first post on MagicOwners!
My name is Stacy. My husband and I have 5 children. Two, I gave birth to and 3 I didn't. I am very fortunate to have 3 bonus children that I gained when I married my husband. After we got married, we added another son to the mix. Cameron was so loved (and a little spoiled from his older siblings) we felt he needed a younger sibing to bring him down off the pedestaI. Five years later, we added another son to the mix. We are very fortunate that all 5 of our children are close and love each other very much. Our 3 older children have started families of their own and have given us 6 grandchildren. Cameron graduated from college last year and moved to South Boston. Our youngest son graduates from HS this year and will be heading off to college in the fall. As Scott and I begin a new chapter as empty nesters, we are trying to determine how that is going to look and what is in store for us. Lot of emotions right now as I begin the process of sending the yougest off to college. At 25 years old, I became an instant Mom and my life has been so fulfilled in that role. I really don't want to let it go! Thank goodness for those grandchildren. Scott and I have also made the decision that I will be leaving the workforce next year. Scott retired from the Air Force 7 years ago and is ready for me to retire as well. Our goal was for me to stop working this year, but Covid really put a crimp in my plans. I am an HR manager and the last three years have been, well, hell. I have some projects that I want to finish and I also want to help train my replacement. So many things we have planned.. we love to travel, we love camping (MinnieMom, we may have to check out that new campground), we live in the Lakes Region of NH and love being on the lake. We have a saliboat that we moor on Lake Winnipesaukee that due to my work schedule, rarely gets used. I can see us going to Flordia for a few weeks each winter as well. Exciting to see what the future holds. I am happy to see and be a part of the new site. Thank you for those making it happen!

I forgot one thing... we have been DVC members since 2015 and our home resort is Boulder Ridge.

... formally BWV Dreamin over on MouseOwners. ... Since I no longer own BWV, I felt this was a good time for a name change. LOL! I never did own BWV ... but kept my handle as before: bwvBound! By way of intro, we tried buying BWV (resale and direct) but ended up with SSR pre-opening in 2004. Most of our DVC stays have been at BWV for IBM's annual tech conference in the surrounding conference facilities (Dolphin, Swan, Yacht Club and, sometimes, spilling over to Boardwalk) -- but we also loved staying across the various DVC properties. (Yep, we consider our DVC points as "sleep around points.") Our first stay at SSR was in Dec 2009, having already owned for more than 5 years, to stay in the then-new Treehouse Villas. Loved it! We enjoyed many stays at SSR between then and Covid but haven't been back since. Thankfully, we are fairly close to Disneyland Resort ... and have been able to use our points at the Grand Cal. We love this property -- and we are sooooooo glad for it! Looking forward to the west-coast Moonlight Magic on 2/1. Any MOs attending? |

Hey y'all. I went to go on MO and poof. So I went on FB group to see link to here. I am Lamima or Lovin'fl. Can't recall what forum I used which name on. Also have used Laumicmah. Some reason my name came up as KevLaur here. Not sure where I used that name. It's a combo to the hubs and I (Kevin and Laura). Maybe intercot a long time ago?
I hadn't been on MO in a while. Now that we live in FL we just do WDW casually. Pop in for a couple hours a few times a month. Anyway, will try to get back into posting more. Life has been very hectic. But we have 1 night a month booked at DVC to have drinks and not drive the 15-25 mins home...lol. So I still have Dis stuff to discuss. Was looking, today, for info on Sunday dinner at Enzo's Hideway. Like if it is still a thing or canceled and if it's good.

Well I'm here as another migrant from the former MO as well. Kept the same name as there and the other board. Longtime Disney fans, BWV is our home resort for over 20 years. Also DCL semi-regular sailors. Almost always read the new posts daily on MO, rarely posted. Glad to have found this new site.

Hello! Long time member over at MO, sometimes commenter. I utilized MO so much when researching my resale purchase in 2014. Home resort is SSR! I was widowed in 2013, so it’s just me and an amazing 11 year old boy now. We typically make it to WDW 1-2x per day, but also have traveled to Aulani twice!

Been watching since early 80s with my mom. Yesterday was a Lauren flashback show. Some oldies on there. Maybe she's retiring from the show or something. Been to the Hideaway and it is good. Read something about Sunday dinner prix fixe menu that looks really interesting. Says you can bring your own bottle of wine with no corkage fee which sounds really cool...saves some big money. |

Hi everyone, my name is Shawn and I am the mom to 2 grown DS's and 1 DD still in high school. I am married to the love of my life and total Disney convert. He always loved Disney but when planning our first WDW trip he said it would probably his only trip there. Haha boy was he wrong. He fell in love and we were married on Luau Beach by Poly and bought into VGF the day it was released to new purchasers. DH is now officially a VGF snob and DD and I are trying to talk him into some CCR points after our summer trip last June when we all fell in love with it.
Our middle DS has points at AKV and actually bought in before we did. We typically travel together and merge the points but he is currently happily attached and he will be using his points on his own going forward. Which is why I am currently looking at adding points on our next trip (before if I can talk DH into it). We usually do 2 trips a year and we love the 1 bedrooms.

BamaCbat here. I'm 29 year veteran of hospital pharmacy in west Alabama. I've been a WDW fan since my parents took me to WDW in the early 70's. We're owners at both Saratoga and Copper Creek. While I didn't post much on mouseowners, I was grateful for that community. It helped me so much over the years. I'm very happy that the community is continuing here. Now I just got to figure out how to get brer rabbit back as my avatar pic....
