Well, I tried using the world clock and two devices and got nothing. It's too hard to coordinate two devices (two logins too) so tomorrow I'll just use one and try to move faster. Thanks for all the advice!

No luck. I’ve never had this much trouble. Doesn’t help that I have Oct. use year and need the two rooms in December. This is a trip that I make with a friend every few years. She’s only gone twice before and she’s really looking forward to the decorations, Christmas party, etc. We have a lot fun every day we’re there, but we both need our space at the end of day. Not sure what I’ll do if I can’t get the rooms.

Nope. This morning when I logged in, I discovered that Oct. 8 was already unavailable. Now Oct. 9 is gone too. I’ll check again in the morning, but I’m not very optimistic.
I really have no room to complain since I’m always one of the walkers.

You're way early though and that's a holiday weekend and fall break time for some that you're trying. I personally wouldn't try walking this early and would be doing just one at a time.

Shut out again today. I've been using time.gov, as you suggested. It matches almost exactly with the clock on my Mac, but I've still been watching it because it shows the seconds. It’s definitely not working for me. First I tried hitting the refresh search button right at 8 and I got the message that it was too soon, booking opens at 8:00, etc. Yesterday I hit search at 8:00:01 and got the same “too early” message. Of course by the time it refreshes the rooms are gone. Today I hit search at 8:00:02 and it was still too early.

Even the refresh doesn't work as well. With time.gov I've not had it off for the initial search. Not this past month. My other question, stupid, are you sure you're on the right day (don't hurt me) if you are doing the search at 8?

Don't even select the "Check availability" button until right on the dot. For harder to get rooms I make sure I select the room size I want only along with the resort so it pops up quick. It did used to be you'd select at 8 on that next page with room type and such "continue" but they changed that this year. Good luck!

Yep! That was it! Still didn't get the room since it was already unavailable, but at least the search worked. I’m ready to try again tomorrow. Thanks for all your help helenbear!

For those who have been concerned that I might not get my two BoardWalk standard studios, I’ve finally managed to get them. I've been trying since Nov. 1 (Oct. use year) to book two studios that I can walk into December. It’s a good thing that I started early, because for nearly every day in Oct 2024, the first day to book was already gone by the night before. I finally got the first room on Dec. 1 and the other room today. So, my trip is going according to plan so far.
And Helenabear, your timing plan is perfect. I too am a musician and that makes it fairly easy to click right at the stroke of 8:00. Thanks for figuring it out!
