So....Who is excited for the new Fort Wilderness DVC Cabins/Trailers? Who is taking a hard pass? And who is pondering a possible add-on?
I want to see your opinions with your vote......Thanks!

For me, this resort is a Double Dog Dare Hard No!!
I am baffled by Disney's choice of trailers and location for this add on to the DVC collection. I feel like its a huge step backwards for the DVC brand.
Back about 10 years ago, I worked on a timeshare property in the Poconos. I was hired to do the Electrical design and distribution for the Timeshare Property. This resort was doing the same thing as what is being proposed by DVC. It was all pre-fab trailers, made to look like cabins. At the time all I could think was that they were cheap and who would buy such a thing. Apparently the local appeal was the Pocono Raceway and the nearby mountains.

I guess if we can use our points on literal hotel rooms (converted at VGF), over-water bungalos, treehouses, and postage-stamp sized "tower studios" at the Riviera, I don't think them adding FW cabins/modulars/trailers/garden sheds is that far of a stretch for me.
I don't really have much interested based on the concept art, but maybe they'll end up nicer. I might give them a try with my existing points down the road sometime, but won't buy in.
Aside from the cost, I'm a staunch believer in keeping all my points at one resort and on one UY, so wouldn't buy in anyway.

I won't poo-poo the "trailers", they might be some people's dream come true. I grew up camping, though, then in college age my whole life was camping, like "real camping" so I can't see myself doing this, but I could for sure see some families enjoying it quite a bit.
Now that I'm getting old, wife and I are 100% OKW, baby.

Not a chance in hell. But also zero interest in camping whatsoever.

Hard no here. We have a history at Ft Wilderness but don’t need to repeat that experience, everything is so far away. Plus our buying points days are over.

Not a chance in hell. But also zero interest in camping whatsoever. Maybe when they place the trailers, they will mention the coldest, most-reliable, occupancy sensor-free a/c on Disney property...

My wife and I have no interest in camping. As I have discussed before, a Winnebago or Motel 8 is roughing it in my opinion. Saying that, if the cabins are decent, DW and I might be interested in staying there "just" to stay at Fort Wilderness at some point. Realistically, we tend to stay at the DVC resorts connected to a park since I use an ECV and being able to roll to a park (or two) is nice. We first bought AKV but don't stay there too often since even AK requires a bus. To be clear, buying - absolutely not. Renting there sometime - unlikely but possible.

I didn't vote yet. I like the idea of a pet friendly DVC. I would like to stay there, but DH is a Hell NO.

No way we would ever buy there, but it's possible we might stay there sometime. I'll wait to see some youtube reviews of these "cabins".
Of course, if the point chart looks anything like the cabins at copper creek (where we are owners), then that's right out. I can't see it being very close to that, though.

Not sure we would want to come to Florida for a camping experience... and I am not much of a camper. When we bring the grandkids it will be about Disney, not camping. Colorado offers many wonderful opportunities to camp and we have a much smaller mosquito population.

The only thing that would have me stay there is "if" Disney rebuilt the water park there and made it for resort guests only. I love my water park/pool time.

No way would we stay there unless there was a bus that ran round the loops. We don’t drive on property, that’s one reason we bought in to DVC. So no transport back = not staying there.
Not that we’ll be adding on anyway.
