I don’t remeber how I found this site. Maybe “somebody” that posts on other sites mentioned a new site to visit. I thought I used the same name there. Nobody missed me when I was banned . I am also English and I guess I have a different sense of humor so I guess I get on peoples nerves or don’t understand me. Plus I’m getting old & senile haha I think a few posters on this site also post on other sites that I am familiar with. I think that it’s very easy to misunderstand others when you are posting online rather than interacting face to face. I love the online community that was born on MouseOwners and continues here! There are people here who I’ve never actually actually met in person, but I still consider them to be friends. And a few others who have, unfortunately, been cursed to actually hang out with me… bless them…  |

. I could occasionally get the MOsite to Open when I was at the Jeep Dealership waiting for my Jeep maintenance .
Maybe that is how I learned about MagicOwners..
Glad the site lives on thru MagicO but MouseOwners did accomplish a huge following from the beginning of DVC .

The site name exists but doesn't direct here anymore. We just wanted to keep on keeping on so we're here now. There are also so sites that cannot be named (no filtering) here too so don't worry about mentioning other locations (even the DIS who I still wonder is doing after all their awful stuff this year). |

This site seems to be comprised of all the former MouseOwner.com gang. Yes, as you note, this site primarily comprises folks from MO who migrated here when that site went away.

If the change means I don't have to get up at the equivalent of 4 am to my body (7 am Eastern time=4 am West Coast time) every morning during our trip to make Genie+ selections for each day I'm all for booking in advance. This. Exactly this. We haven’t bought G+ for any of our trips yet. We only use VQ and ILL. Though our last trip in we did miss out on most of the evening events because I needed to be up at the crack of friggin dawn to get our ILLs and VQs. Of course those are the only rides my DH cares anything about. He tried one day to get the VQ and messed it up and we got nothing. So it turned back to me. By the time dinner would come around I was fading. Forget staying to see fireworks or shows. My body wasn’t having it, and then needing to get up early again the next day- it was exhausting. so if I can at least book the ILLs ahead of time, that’s a huge win for us. Add to it the OG park hopping will be back, another win. Also we aren’t APs. So we can book our ILLs and depending on the time, go to whichever park we want to start at, just need to get to our ILL on time. I do see how this could be a disadvantage for offsite guest, but I also think it’s about time Disney does a bit more for on-site guests. Guests pay a premium to stay onsite (where often for the same $ or less they could get better accommodations off site), why not throw this out there as a perk. Maybe even offer a slight discount for booking in advance (I know I am dreaming on this last point LOL). |

IMO, Disney should leave G+, VQ, LL as is but give people (any people) the ability to book 1 ride from home, at a normal time, before entering the park, as part of a packaged vacation or DVC or AP. It is only 1 ride so it should not impact rides more than they're already impacted by the current systems. I don't know why it is so hard to incorporate this small perk into existence.
I missed both VQ's this past vacation because I didn't wake in time. I did manage to do the 1p VQ but we left the park before our turn. We've never been commando and have gone many repeat visits without enjoying favorite rides. We've never enjoyed Ratatouille. We tend to ramble around just seeing what we can accomplish. It is our typical behavior. I don't feel like entering a park and immediately whipping out my cell to G+ whatever (for one thing, I'll probably whip it out and throw it into someone). I have to admit since G+ our normal 3 to 4 ride park visits have reduced to 1 or 2 rides or park bar crawls.
How many years did I make ADRs at the 180 day, 90 day, 60 day when the kids were young just to eat in the blasted Castle (which we loved)? Make reservations and then redo them when 'special pricing' appeared. We forced the kids into hours of standby lines when paper FP started cause I wasn't going to run around the park just to get a head of the line. If I can conform to Disney's rules then can't Disney just throw me a bone. LOL
Whatever. If we can do the G+ from home maybe I'll finally buy it. DH could care less - he'd stand in a 120 minute hour line. I think he likes just standing, talking, getting to know our fellow line standers and then feel justified to get a beer at the end.

Ok. I am back and catching up on threads. We underwent an unexpected move and a HUGE renovation in the last year and change, so I've kind of been out of pocket.
Regarding this specific thread, I am not a fan of this because we almost never get Genie+. I will confess that I do buy LL for a few rides just because I want to know my time that I'm going to ride something.

This is another thing that is confusing me .
A week ago I was standing in the Jungle Cruise line and decided I would just buy the ILL individual lightnin lane but that was not an option .
?
How are we supposed to know when we need Virtual Q … I have that figured out

ILL = Individual lightnin lane
I figure I will need it tomorrow for Jingle Cruis Holiday Adventure at the Magic Kingdom and will not enter until Sunset which is 5:30 today with time change
The good news
No Mickeys Very Merry Parties until 11/9 and final date is 12/22
Hopefully it will not be crowded … a chill in the air when the sunsets.
I do remember Tx Chick from MO days …
so I can welcome her back … my daughter lives in Dallas area .
