Salt and Straw? Is this new? Have to look it up! Jaleo--our current favorite nice sit down restaurant in WDW; 5/5 Morimoto--love it for dinner, like it for lunch; 4.5/5 Boathouse--solid, nothing wowed me; sat outside on the water for lunch; 4/5 Polite Pig--love love love it; been here 10-12 times and have had most of the menu, it's all great; 11/5 Paddlefish--underwhelming dinner; had a great waitress who now works at Toledo; menu sounds/looks better than the food tastes; 3/5 Salt and Straw--be adventurous, try something that sounds like you wouldn't like it; so good; 4.5/5

We rarely go to Disney Springs but when we do, we’ve enjoyed Guy’s Chicken and Polite Pig. Son and DIL Love, love, love Boathouse. Haven’t made it there yet for us.

We ate at the Boathouse the last time we were at Disney Springs, and it was terrible. Much of the food was cold and we were seated outside where many of the lights were not working.
The Polite Pig, where we have eaten several times is fantastic. I would also recommend Morimoto Asia as it has great food and service.

We steer clear from Disney Springs as much as possible, however on our last trip we closed down a park and didn't know what to eat. It was late and nothing at the Contempo is ever appealing to us. We ended up at Disney Springs and walked up to Polite Pig. It was delicious! We really enjoyed it.

Disney Springs (or Downtown Disney) was an area we discovered once we no longer vacationed with the kids. We knew about it but stayed away so we didn't spend the whole time herding kids around in crowded situations saying 'no' to 90% of their requests. Once it was just us is, we discovered how enjoyable it is to sit at the bar at Raglan Road - especially when the side bar is open and the stage performers are active.

Another recommendation for Raglan Road. We also had a good experience at Morimoto.

While we loved Raglan Road, it was really loud during our dining experience with the performers. Is there a place to request that’s more quiet?

Ha, I think you hit upon the answer within your response. Ask to be seated further from the performers. It’s a much less common request so hopefully more easily accommodated.

Love Wine bar George. Was their first time with my daughter. Check out day but later flight.so we usually do DS before heading out. It was not busy so no reservations needed. Service, attention to what we liked wine wise was great. I’m a red girl, she’s a white girl. We did a flight, and food. Went again with daughter and husband, we were seated on outside balcony. Again everything was excellent, though server was not as nice. But it was still good, she tried I guess to the best of her personality.
Chef Arts. That’s a toss up but will go at some point again. Went the first time with husband, daughter and now her ex bf. It was great. Went on a solo trip with daughter and it was a hot mess. They were going to be closed the next day for a private event, so I’m not sure if they let their best people off that day… First send back was the fried chicken sandwich my daughter had that had grizzly stuff (lack of what to call it) in the middle. Yes people even boneless, skinless chicken breasts need to be cleaned and trimmed. She hates to be ‘that one’ that complains as she works in retail management. But I made her. They brought out another, and as she started eating she saw the role had mold. Not a little piece, more like most of the role. Ugh here she had to call them over again. No she was not interested in another, appetite lost. Everything we ordered was basically the same as previous trip. Even the drinks had wilted leaf unripened strawberries, the Mac and chees ( I like well done/crispy fries pizza or toppings) completely overcooked. The best was I gave my DVC card for discount, I never got it back. Didn’t realize till the day we were leaving and having lunch prior to going to airport. At that point I would call when home. That was several phone calls until I finally got a manager who found it locked in their safe! At this point it was almost a week later, you would think they would send it to DVC or contact them. If I didn’t stop for lunch before heading out it could have been months before I realized it was gone. So due to all that they did send me a GC that 3,4 years later I’ve yet to use. I will go back hoping to have the meal I experienced on my first trip there.
Boathouse. Very enjoyable, good food. We were seated at a table against the water. On a very cold and windy night. There was no way I would get through my meal if I stayed there. It was frigid.they moved us with our same server inward against the wall away from the water, with an outdoor Hester near us.I honestly don’t remember what we had but do remember we enjoyed it.
The Electric what ever it’s called. Over rated in my opinion. I’ve had better burgers elsewhere and fries. We were there for lunch. Cool looking place but the food is good/okay. Nothing to wow about.not bad, but not a redo on my list.
