What this Premier crap offering is going to do is drive away the one-time park visitors who already think WDW is too expensive. Either that, or the one-time visitors will read on facebook that "You MUST buy the Premier Whatever, then you can do EVERYTHING! Otherwise your trip will be RUINED!"

So will this be another separate line or they will cut the line we are in...? Agree on the price..if it was say 100 I might do it once during really busy time etc but no way with those prices..

Okay, so really, how far away are we from just going back to the original ride ticketing system? This is certainly a step closer. With all the different lightning lane options now, it seems like standing in the standby line is for suckers. You might as well not go if you're not going to "upgrade," right? So then, with that mindset, it's not really that much of a leap for them to just eliminate the useless standby line altogether and move to system where they charge a park entrance fee of, say, $150 per day, and then you get, maybe 10 "ride points" with entry. Additional points can be purchased for $10 each. Each ride costs a number of points, depending on its popularity:
7 points: Tron and Tiana's 5 points: 7DMT, BTMRR, Jungle Cuirse 3 points: Pirates, HM, Peter Pan
Etc. etc.

Two 3DPH was ~$1200. I could save $150 for 3DMYW but DH just started shaking his head. Guess I'll just wait until we're there and buy park tickets if we seem like we'll use 'em. For us, basically, the park tickets are a cover fee for Baseline and RnC so maybe we'll just go to DS. LOL

Definitely not for me. That said, like others I can see it as an alternative for those who must ride everything but don’t want to spend for the VIP tours. Doubt it really affects me much, so whatever.

Imagine...

These pricing options for advantage are no different than how concert tickets, sporting events, cruise tickets, resort rooms and other leisure activities are sold! Everyone essentially has the same "base" experience, but level of convenience, comfort, options, perks are priced up from there. Don't want to pay the $2,000 front row price for a concert or game? - - buy the $150 ticket and see it from a distance or an angle and pay extra for far away lot parking. Same event, different view, different perks. It's the way of the leisure world; pay or don't pay - your choice, your experience.

7 points: Tron and Tiana's 5 points: 7DMT, BTMRR, Jungle Cuirse 3 points: Pirates, HM, Peter Pan Etc. etc. Okay, it's a new day, and I saw this in a different light. But instead, what if you pay to get in the park, then you "tap in" at the turnstiles to whatever ride and you get charged. I might come out ahead because we usually don't ride very many rides! Go to Hollywood, let's see...tap in at Slinky, tap in at Muppets...um...well maybe Star Tours....hmmmm. Oh TSMM if the line isn't long, MMRR if the line isn't long. As long as I don't have to tap in at Backlot Express, Dinosaur Gertie's Ice Cream of Extinction, the Indiana Jones funnel cake cart, anything in the Fairfax Faire area (or whatever that place is called these days), maybe the Tap House if I'm lucky, um, sometimes I hit some food in that Star Wars land if they are selling something with hummus! Usually get something at Andy's Lunchbox too. I could tell a similar story at Epcot too, oh of course AK is almost completely about eating. MK we might do like four rides or maybe six. Okay bring on the ticket books!

I wouldn't mind more of an a la carte option like that. We did the LLMP thing last week. It was ok. But, we did have to spend time on our phone looking for stuff. And then we had to book some early in the morning just to get others later, and that was a waste. I don't think I'd do that again, as it took away from the easiness of being there early when you have to get to this or that kiosk. You waste your early MPs, you waste your ride-anything time, you run to kiosks, burn passes you don't need and ride things you wouldn't otherwise prioritize... all to book a ride or two in the evening. It was a good experiment, but I think booking exactly what I want would be the way to go. If each ride carried its own price that would be fine.

I don't believe there are enough time slots for everyone to book the headline attractions. 2. Some rides would get very little ridership, even if just $1 extra. 3. A trip to Disney would look like a bunch of doctors' appointments - everything scheduled in specific time slots.
