Just wanted to point out that they are opening booking to DVC members on 3/15 and DL Magic Key Holders on 3/16. However, they are opening booking to CASH RESERVATIONS, not points. They stated it would be cash reservations in a few places on the announcement. The DPB article does not include the word "cash" at all. The Feb Membership Magic Insider email sent out by DVC today does mention they are cash reservations. It doesn't but that isn't for DVC only readers and often misses important info. I also am very curious about the opening price. Will VDH be substantially higher due to its location? Will it pave the way to really price up Poly2? Again general consensus is Poly2 opening in 220’s price range. But that is a year and a half away? Does VDH open now in 220’s?

It could very well be that they open booking for the portion of the points they know will not be availalbe for sale for some time, for a limited time period. Make sure they are getting money for the points they are holding.

Make sure they are getting money for the points they are holding. They do this anyway. They only release a percentage of rooms to book via points and then rest for cash. That's why when they do a declaration there are often a lot more rooms to book via points. |

Just realised there is virtually no storage for food, and no counter space apart from the tin6 area in front of the coffee maker. I’d barely be able to lay out basic breakfast items, and heaven help anyone who wants a coffee as well.
As for cooking dinner, I’d have to use the dining table to chop anything. Which means it would then need to be wiped down in the 5 minutes it takes to cook a stir fry.
Clearly they don’t expect anyone to actually use the kitchen at DL.

DLH was never solidly themed IMO Just realised there is virtually no storage for food, and no counter space apart from the tin6 area in front of the coffee maker. Eh it's similar to CCV in terms of counter space. We did just fine with 4 people having entirely different breakfasts and quick meals there. |

So looking at these rooms, just what exactly is the theme of the Hotel as a whole? It's the Disneyland Hotel. The original. It was built before Disney did themed resorts. So don't look for a theme. It'll just be a mid century (ish) decor in a building that matches the other towers. |
