As to the testimonials - is there a system here to upvote or downvote a person? Some kind of reputation system, I guess? That could be handy for an RTB. As long as it has a way to prevent gaming the system to vote yourself way up, I think that it would be a good way to get a glance as to an owner's rep with the community. Possibly a twitter style blue check verified system, even - to show that this owner is a verified owner of DVC properties. That is what the testimonial thread is for. Just go on there, state what experience you had with that owner, and you’re done. Or just mention their name and type in “ thumbs up”  |

I'm not a fan of owner testimonials, as they can be just as problematic or worse than not having the option for renters to "endorse" someone. You've already addressed monetization, and I'm aligned there. I wouldn't be comfortable passing along my Driver's License or other form of ID to prove who I am because I don't know how it would be stored or who would be viewing it at any point along the way (not that I have anything to hide, but you know, identity theft is a real thing and the less this info is out in the digital world, the better). I'm also not a fan of Google or MS Forms. The vision to have an owner/renter beware, no liability from the site approach would be my preference, just as you run the FB site. Your original post seems spot on to me and I appreciate you/the team giving this a go! As far as testimonials go, it’s done all the time on Facebook rental sites and actually works quite well. |

Unfortunately, you then invite individuals to game the system which means that the admins have to put more work in to try and handle this gamification. One thing that I do find interesting is after the push to have the RTB, there haven't been any postings other than the "Read Me" posting in this last few days. |

Possibly just me, but maybe not: I just noticed the "Announcement" at the top of the page, and I assume it's been up there for several days. It apparently didn't grab my attention. Thank you Adm’s for trying to get RTB up running, I used it and very much appreciate your Efforts !  You all have great ideas …  For Adm’s sake, keeping it easy is my 2 cents. I’m old fashion, and when you Put in “Must read Notes“ that “Buyer Beware” that lets people know to be aware of scams. …. When I used the RTB, I just did my own research on the transaction and many times I made the request, then had them send me a check in the mail …. Surprisingly I never got scammed. (Meaning a lot of good people on MO) Again Thank you for trying to get RTB up and running |

Speaking of "transfers"...and I am a big fan vs "renting". Years ago wife and I needed more points for a family trip, we ended up doing a transfer on one of the rental sites. The only reason I remember this is because they were Grand Californian points and we used them at OKW hee hee heeeee!

On another forum I participate in, heatware is used for reviewing users in the marketplace. Unfortunately, it seems more limited to tech purchases.
Second...under the format, where would a confirmed reservation be placed or is that not going to be permitted? Either it was so vague I missed it or it wasn't addressed.

Confirmed reservations available will be under "points available" - basically either you are look for points (points wanted) or you have points to rent (points available) confirmed reservations are allowed. Everything utilizes points so just look at it like that. If you have a booked reservation you can offer to rebook or not. Just say which. |
