Is anyone seeing a slow down in rentals? I am trying to rent some AKL points right now and have not had any legitimate inquiries. I have them listed on this Board, the "other" Board and in 2 different Facebook groups. I was really hoping to get them rented without using a broker. Is there no market right now? Any advice? Definitely a slowdown. Disney rooms are discounted 35% with the "Stay Longer and Save" promo. And you've posted $20 -- I would suggest $15. Check out the comps. We can book an AK Savannah View for $416/night. Resort View is $312. Savannah View DVC is ~18 pts/nt. At $20, that's $360. Standard View is 14 pts, $280. You're barely a savings at all for the hassle of DVC when it's so cheap to book with Disney with full cancelations and changes. Wow. This is sobering information. Thank you for the clarifying visual. It helps. I may as well use the broker at this point. They are promising $18 if they can move my points at the 11 month window. I might not move them but no harm in trying. |

I'm having a terrible time trying to PM someone with points to transfer. I once but not this time. I think the problem is:
I was an old member from Mouseowners but when it changed over I was unable to move with it and changed my log in.
Old: DVC:jj, new DVCduffy
It was so frustrating I just gave up but now I'd like to contact a renter/transferer and can't.
Any help would be wonderful.

Agree - disney is offering some steep discounts on their cash rooms and dvc rental rates keep climbing higher. When the price gap is small, the scale tips to cash because it is easier with the easier cancelllation policy |
